The Visuals are just insanely good ! Loved the cutscenes & your color palette.
The shooting feels very good but tend to become a bit chaotic at close range & the movements are a bit rigid but you get used to it.
Apart from that, a very very good game. great work :)
Thanx for the feedback! :)
Oh amazing cutscences and collor pallette! I like that the tutorial is a cutscene. The main char feels real and energetic. This gets insane pretty fast. Sound effects are satisfying and there is a lot of juice that makes you wanna destroy everything. Something in me wants a sword to counter enemies that get closer. Those bats feel like the ones in crono trigger, which is so cool! I miss a way to turn and hit enemies chasing me from behind. This is cool and has an intriguing backstory to it I really wanna see more of this.
Thanx a lot for the feedback and suggestions! :)
Incredibly impressive for a game jam... I'm really impressed :) feels so good to play, and is ridiculously well polished!! well done man :)
I glad you liked, thanx a lot for the feedback! :)
Really well done! The action is very satisfying - the shooting, camera shakes, enemies reacting to damage, etc. are all very good!
IMO the difficulty was a bit high but perhaps with some tweaks to character movement that could be mitigated? Using Z to lock character movement was a bit awkward for me - have you considered having the mouse as the direction for shooting?
All in all, this was really fun. I'd be happy to see further progress on this!
Thanx for the feedback. I'll try new inputs after the jam. :)
I am blow away by what you've done in 10 days. This is so cool, every thing is polished and juicy from the animations, to the cutscenes, the art, the color scheme, the player feedback, it's sooo good. I have nothing but positives, I can't believe you did this in 10 days. Amazing.
Thanx so much for the feedback! :) The price to finish it in 10 days was to go into "crunch" and sleep a little, but a good result came out, hehe!
Damn this look good. And this gun is SOO JUUUICY. A lot of efforts when into the making of this game and we can feel it. This pixel art is beautiful and i really enjoy how you implemented the tutorial.
The roll is a bit buggy in some circumstances but the only thing that really bothered me was the map design. There was some VERY GOOD elements but dilluting a game like this with copy pasted sections and lots of backtracking just felt like putting water in a good wine. At this point i am obviously just nitpicking you did an amazing job for 10 days and the game was very enjoyable.
Congrats !
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't even have time to draw up a proper map, so it ended up being these endless round-trip routes, hahah.
Thanks for the feedback :)
An amazing solo dev jam submission. So much polish, care and thought went into this submission and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The little nods to Metroid, the sound ... and the juiciest dang explosions for sure in this jam, if not in most any recent games I can think of. It felt sooo good to defeat an enemy because of the juice you put into that and so many of the particle effects and feedback.
Being able to lock my position and fire in all directions was really useful, but what I would give to play through this on a gamepad! That's asking a lot for a jam game and a solo project, but I hope this is just the start of something bigger, because this was really wonderful to play. Great work.
Thank you so much for the generous feedback, I'm really glad you liked it so much! :)
I had fun playing this one and exploring the world so imagine how disappointed I was when I realized that my play through recording got messed up because the volume of the game is louder than my mic. :( Still, I wanted to share it and my commentary at the end can still be understood (minus my accents - lol)
Wow, what a pity there was this error :(. But I will love to see the video for sure. Thank you very much! :D
10/10 for 10 day project. it looks beautiful and is fun af
Thanx a lot!! :)
Awesome Game! the cutscenes were very well done, I enjoyed the overall gameplay and style to the game! I thought it was really fun, really tough, thank you for the great experience and im impressed you did it all in construct! Nice job!
Thanx a lot for the feedback! :D
The art is amazing! I love the colors you chose. Music fits pretty well too
The flashing in the beginning wasn't very pleasant to look at
The keyboard keybinds weren't the best, and even with a gamepad they felt a little off to me. Would've preferred using a mouse to aim
But with those pushed aside, the game feels great and is juiced just right. Really well done!
Thanx for the feedback! I was in doubt about the use of the mouse, but I preferred to just use the keyboard to be able to use the controller too, but I'll work on these things better after the gamejam.
Perhaps twin sticks then if you don't wanna use a mouse? Left stick to move, right to aim, wasd to move and arrow keys to aim? Something more accessible for the fire button like space or the trigger on a controller if you went with what i suggested? Or even shoot when you aim kinda like in Binding of Isaac if you've ever played that.
If you change them after tha jam then do let me know if you remember :) Would like to try again
Thanks for the suggestion, I will run some tests on different inputs to see the results.
love the game the art is amazing and the SFX are really good love the shooting aswell good job
thanx for the feedback! :)
Some of the most beautiful games I've ben able to play in this jam! I was immediately drawn in by the amazingly crafted cutscene. The map was also so wonderfully constructed, can't believe you worked on this solo! Great Job!
Thanx a lot for the feedback! :) Glad you liked!
Great game with amazing graphics! I had a feeling when i go into the ship with 5 gems it would just end the game so i tried pretty hard to beat it without doing so, and i had a lot of fun exploring the map!
Thanx a lot for the feedback! I glad you liked to explore the map! :)
Oh man, that art is somehting else, I felt like I was playing a real OG nintentdo game. That opening cutscene was gorgeous and on another level. I wish my pixel art was that good. Excellent level/map design too.
Thanx a lot for the feedback! I glad you liked! :)
great game! the intro was awesome! it really put me in the story of the game, the art and music is cool and the controls took me time to master but got the hold of it, though I was pushed by the beetle like monster and got stuck, but overall it is an awesome game! keep up the great work!
Thanx for the feedback! :)
All this by one person!? Wow! The style, animation, intro and music is quite something and inmediately put me into the mood. Maybe add some difficulty tunning on the boss, some hidden numbers that it know how difficult it needs to be. Well done!
Thanx a lot for the feedback! :)
Really nice game ! That intro cutscene was *chef kiss*
The lock on didn't seem to work tho, pressing CTRL didn't seem to do anything, I was using Keyboard B option, maybe that's why. Also it was kind of unclear when the sinking platforms were walkable or not. I had to stop at the Boss, cause fsr it would take any damage even tho it was flashing when shooting at it, maybe a side effect of the locking not working ?
The ambience was really cool, the Metroid influence was palpable and very welcomed, I'm kind of bummed that I could not beat the Boss cause I had fun.
Good entry !
Thanks for the feedback! Keyboard B really has a bad configuration, I'll have to organize it after the Jam. Too bad you couldn't beat the Boss. :/
This game is fantastic! Given that as a base, my only concerns are: the instructions could have been more clear (i didnt immediately know what key did what) and the dodge is hard to guestimate in terms of how far you actually go with that (its very hard to use for actual dodging imho)
But thats absolutely minor concerns compared to such a polished game!
Thanx for the feedback! :)
