I'm a big fan of Depth Crawls and I just wanted to say it's really impressive that you were able to distill it down to a pamphlet format.

Doc, you have another banger on your hands… even with giving you a 1 in theme (the lowest you can give) you still managed to be among the higher scores i’ve given in my personal notes (where i can rate things with .5s as God intended!)
I will sit down and give you detailed notes as promised once the Jam is over, but my quick note is, you currently have a few points of “Blank” space that look a little odd, and i think with some creative reworking of where things are located in the layout might be able to fit together to actually give you a little more writing space.
And to that point, the extra writing space could be used to create some suggestions on how to journal, or maybe some rules as to gaining integrity via journalling or some such…
regardless you’ve made another fantastic module! congrats!
Dude this is so cool. Everything about the module feels crafted to inflict melancholy and drama as you pull yourself across the wastes. Yet there are points of light in the darkness and the potential for interactions with the other wanders are boundless. I think this is a really special one.
The font and background contrast worked for me. No readability issues.
I did feel a like the description of the hex crawl mechanics lose me a bit, but with the diagram I got what you're going for.
I don't really see a connection with the theme. The size scale is pretty massive so I struggle to see how this would be on a space station, perhaps a moon or something though?
Thank you! That is the exact atmosphere I was going for; a world of darkness with pockets of hope if you look for it. I'm also glad the diagram helps with the Sector setup.
As for the theme, I have commented that wasn't the priority for my entry; a zero for my Theme is very justified. I instead put effort into the Prospero Dream focus. That said, the scale was also commented on, which I didn't catch the Sink is actually a lot smaller. So, I've revised the size scale to still be big for a person to travel, but a lot more to scale for a colony station.
A supplement providing a framework for hexcrawling in the sink, and tables for randomly generating the content of hexes, and a system for playing solo. It is absolutely gorgeous, making use of great art and colour for a hugely atmospheric pamphlet. Unfortunately, the font’s thin lines makes it quite a struggle to read on the non-uniform dark background.
There are also a few inconsistencies: the description of integrity mentions starting with a maximum of 5, but the diagram and illustration below implied a maximum of six. The 10km hexes are also incompatible with the description of Prospero’s dream, which gives the diameter of the entire station (not just the central part containing the Choke) at 13km. The random tables are good however, and can be used for expeditions to the Choke regardless of whether the hexcrawl mechanics are used.
Thank you!
Yes, I am aware the font is too thin. For some reason, the final export of the Canva final made it alot thinner than what the preview showed. But I've also darkened the background slightly to help with clarity. I will be changing out the font regardless. The inconsistent number was also something I noticed literally a minute after the deadline ahaha. But it has been fixed; it should have been 6. The diameter of the station is one I did not catch and I'll look to revise it accordingly; thanks!

Thank you! Art is the forefront priority in this module, so I'm glad it's to your liking.
Solo play is well worth the try, letting you conjure your imagination to play out the movie of a session you're building. Once I make the blank map pages, I'm hoping this module can be an easy to entry solo play for those new to the genre.
Wow! This is exactly the type of thing I didn't know I wanted, but now that I have it I'm super stoked to use it!
Funnily enough, Mothership is what made me grok soloplay so now that you've made this little oracle I'm so excited to use it. The art and layout are so good too! I especially love the shakey text for "The Whispers grow loud." There's also some very very evocative writing and art in here.
I'm failing to see how this relates to the Theme, but other than that I absolutely love this (and don't think it needs to relate to the theme at all btw).
I'm glad to hear that! The Oracle will need a bit of tweaking in terms of swapping a couple prompts for more appropriate ones to the setting. But it is such a system that made solo games feel accessible for me.
In terms of the theme, you are very correct because it was not something I put consideration into. I mainly used the jam for the Prospero Dream focus and something to drive finishing this module. If the rating system could award you zero stars, I very much expect for people to do so for the Theme here haha.
Thanks! Solo play is indeed a beast on its own. It often never meets the full narrative expectations that a GM run game can have because it falls on you to expand on the narrative as you see fit. I am admittedly not very good at that, despite loving solo games. My hope with this module is that, even if you don't spend a lot of effort on the narrative, you will still come away with a unique map and string of encounters; something to call your own.
