Would love to see you expand this idea, the AI entity who is tracking all the data behind the scenes, the black market salesmen… there is certainly something there if you are willing to mine for it!
This is a great idea. It weaves into the world. I wish it had gotten a little more detail. Nothing is off, but it could be more dense, and more. To run it I might add 3 crucial NPCs, a more solidified sinister plot, or some charming details. It is an excellent inspiration, and with some prep work I could use it in my game. Good work.
I liked the simple implementation for a side job and its implications that could be easily tied to existing campaign factions.
Missed opportunity to describe an AGI horror in here though!
(+) Very clear and easy implementation for a quick transport system in massive cities
(+) Thorough ruleset for players to be employed under this system, including how their gear is handled
(+) Fun twists in how its services have been modified for other purposes, bringing more dynamics into an otherwise simple system
This supplement oozes flavor. I think ridesharing and courier services really exemplify your gig economy hellscape rickshaw service. I agree with what another commenter said about EMT services deviating from the otherwise incisive theming. Perhaps if you do free up space in a future iteration, you could add a hook for a snappy one-shot that shows the system at play, paving the way to roll it into the setting as a whole? Well done overall!
A small supplement providing rickshaws to get around the dream, usable both as a gig for PC’s and a possible transport service. Of course, something sinister is going on, with the rating system of the app physically harming the drivers on poor reviews, and privacy invasions of both drivers and passengers.
I feel like I could use a little bit more motivation for the entity behind the whole thing, as well as a some justification for why caution has been thrown to the wind by every faction when they choose to rely on this service.
Good call! I kind of wanted to leave it vague enough that it could be operated by Caliban, Monarch, or even something created by the warden of the game but yeah the Canyon Heavy guys would probably figure it out quickly. I'll probably add something about them on the next revision.
Very nice cover art!
I like the bi-fold! And I think you're right that they're allowed.
It's a fun critique, but I'm not sure how I would utilize this. I wish there was some sort of min-adventure hook associated with this where the PCs sign up for this driving gig and get stuck with the cybermod. Maybe some information smuggling or something?
A fun little critique of gig economy ridesharing in spaaaaace! I really love the horrible little note that 1-star reviews cause drivers to take damage. It's fun that you've got rates here for working this job and using the service, the parts about drivers selling contraband or having their vehicles bugged with listening devices are great, I like a lot of this!
However, it's a game jam for trifolds, and this isn't a trifold! What happened? I bet the text that's here could be chopped up into that format, and if you need more space, a little roll table (a few NPC drivers, maybe, or some contraband that might be found on a ride?) could flesh it out some.
Ah, sorry I thought it said bi-folds were ok. I'll check on that. Thanks!
great concept for transporting people using a app and where they are "independent workers" but i think adding medical and transport in the mix might have spread the idea a bit too wide but its still great to see really makes me think of cyberpunk 2077.
