Very fun, nice sounding game. I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)

Developer

Wow, thanks for trying it out :)

I really like this, it's such a simple concept, but deceptively addictive to play!

Submitted

Nice concept, but it's really difficult !

Saw this played on a stream and loved the concept. Was looking forward to playing it, but sadly it never loads for me.

Developer(+1)

Well that is concerning. Do you get any errors? I would really like to sort this out for you so any extra information like your browser would be great.

Submitted

Thank you, but it seems to be working fine for me now, no idea what the problem was first time around!

Thought the game was great! If a little difficult :)

I especially liked the music and the screen shake on the key hits, very satisfying

I like the idea a lot and the music is great!

Hey! I just wanted to let you know that a video of one of my playthrough/reviews is up and you're a part of it!
Take a look here:

Wow exciting. Yeah it is pretty harsh when you lose but when you win you have done a perfect run so you have earned it. Glad that you got the hang of it so quick :)

Yes, I got to 128! It was harder than I thought it would be because I'm dumb.  Basically, I think a life would be nice... but also... not... I dunno.  I'm torn.  It's not super duper long so it's probably ok... I just got salty when I lost =P

Great work!

I got to 128! that was incredibly satisfying. I loved your game. Simple and really polished. That screen shake and funky music was making me bop every single try.

Submitted(+1)

Loved the funky music in this one! Got to 55 points but then gave up :( because the game is pretty difficult - it might help if I could see what keys I'll have to press further in the future.

I like the game but am terrible at it. Any change I can hear the music without winning? lol

Glad you like the game, despite the difficulty!

Great stuff! Managed 128. Interesting concept of using a binary structure, although I was frequently confused by the coloring scheme and keys.

Developer

Nice work! How do you think the keys and coloring could have been more obvious? I was picking from https://kenney.nl/assets/letter-tiles but it would be great to know for next time.

Really like your take on rhythm games. Simple and hard, but very fun!

LOVE IT ! Very nice game, funny, rythmic. Very frustrating too, because in France, the "A" key is at the "Q" key place. So, when I've had to press the A key, I was not sure of wich I really had to press : A or Q ? I've pressed "Q", ... it was "A". Not easy to catch on keybord, specially at this particular moment of stress ^_^ But after a new try, I've won ! Yeah ! Great game. The best 128 points I've earned since a long time.

Developer

That is really interesting information about the French keyboard. It is looking for an input of 'A' so I guess that is why the A key was the one that worked but that is a pretty brutal difficulty spike on the very last press >_<. I'm glad you powered through to make the whole count ^_^

I love the concept of using binary numbers as notes! This was very difficult for me however, any games with more that about 5 keys put up a fairly steep skill wall to get started with.

Developer

Yeah there is a lot of keys to keep track of. I play with 8 fingers in a row touch typing style but your poor pinky is doing every second press so it is getting a work out.

Incredible! The game is hard but really interesting. Also, music was perfect for this kind of game. Good job!

I MADE IT!

Damn, that was hard. But sooo fun! I really like the fact that there are patterns to assimilate, and that they actually make sense musically. The music is top notch, which makes it even more satisfying to be just in the “flow”.

But seriously it's really hard. Having to start at the beginning at each mistake can be frustrating. The intro is a good thing, but it got me confused at first (I kept losing because I wasn't waiting) (despite being taught to, yes, I'm just impatient).

Anyway, I still had a really good time playing it. Good job!

Edit: Wait a minute, I just read the description again, and now I actually get the "Binary" aspect of the game! It makes sense, wow. The “pattern” is even more logic and predictable than I thought. I don't know how I missed it. I guess I was really impatient today! Well, I guess it makes the game even cooler now.

Developer

Awesome that you enjoyed it I like the flow of the patterns too, I can get to 32 with my eyes closed lol. @aaaidan did a great job on the music since it is an unusual pattern. Did the intro section help you get the beat or was it just confusing?

Submitted(+1)

It might just be my sleep-deprived state, but it took me a while to figure out what I was actually meant to do, in which time the music got a little repetitive.

Developer(+1)

I feel your pain about listening to the start. We added the 'hit space to start' because with it reloading on each change the intro was making us a bit insane. I've added a gif to help show how to play so hopefully that will help new player avoid some of your anguish.
