Liked the idea of the game, the sound is a little bit to loud of the go but really nice effects.

you claim full controller support, but that’s not quite the case! there’s no way to navigate the menus without the mouse! even still, thank you for including controller support at all!
also it counts as getting squished if you touch the bottom of a block regardless of whether you were on the ground or high in the air? that felt like a cheap death while bouncing on the green block! my high score is currently at 173. been enjoying playing in the “less-bloom” mode
Thanks for the feedback! I didn't think about the menu when making controller controls because the menu wasn't there yet XD. I wanted to mention that the green block was meant to be a trap, so it bounces you into the botton of a falling block. I also wanted to say that you demolished my highscore! It was 132 seconds.
I really like this game, especially the graphics! And it's quite challenging! My best time is 54 seconds.
Fun to play and beautiful to look at! If you want to continue working on this after the jam, one possibility to consider is to color the bottoms of the falling blocks red until they hit the ground so it's clear that you can't touch them. (Otherwise you might mistakenly think that the blocks only kill you if they crush you - which I did, haha.) Excellent game!
Surprisingly difficult, my best was 45 seconds. Whenever I lost control of the player I would end up jumping and dashing to my doom afterwards since I was spamming the space button.
This game is pretty nice to play, the lore fits in really well with the game, would be nice to have the highscore in the corner
Great graphic! this mini game feels lively and dazzling 😆 (the dash looks just like glitch art XD)
My best score was 86 lol
(sometimes I just stay at the corner wishing blocks not hit myself, actually this strategy works well XD)
Lol the first time I turned red I was like WHAT IS HAPPENING. Should have read directions :P
Nice game! The controls were tight and the visuals were great. My highest score is 81 seconds :D
This is a very great game! Good concept and it looks and feels great! Good job!
First off, the obvious: Despite being a game about a block trying to avoid other blocks, this game is gorgeous. You've really nailed the particle effects and animations and lighting, making this feel incredibly polished.
I also really liked the controls. The player might be a tad too slippery (and maybe a bit too fast?), but the movement feels great, and I particularly liked the implementation of the dash (and that animation is so sweet!). Adding the two coloured blocks with different effects was fantastic, plus the random beam of doom every now and again helped keep things fresh.
However, I did sometimes have moments where the best strategy is to just stand there, not moving, which seems counter to the intent of the game. Perhaps more targeted blocks is a way around that? Also, the alternate you taking over seemed to mostly just do nothing (i.e. just stand there), which means that most of the time, it was fine, except for the few times a block was about to crush me when it happened.
Needing to use the jump button to break out of the control usually caused me to fly into a random direction because of how the jumping works next to a block, but perhaps that was the intent?
Though my biggest complaint is the time it takes to restart! Having to switch to a mouse to click on the restart button was a bit tedious, specifically in a game where my average run was 20 seconds long.
Anyway, an excellent game that feels really nice to play. Fantastic job!
