Forgot to comment there 😂 It's a pretty fun game where you need to balance btw the levels of your cannon and your enemies. ( Upgrading cannon makes you beat enemies easier, while upgrading enemies makes your game last longer or makes you get gold faster. The upgrade are all exponential, so do the price)

May be better if there's some music lol

My strategy was to first upgrade my accuracy a lot and then damage and then other stats.  Allowing the player to control the difficulty of the game in such a dynamic way is interesting for sure. I was thinking that it would be interesting if whenever you give yourself an upgrade, the red guys would get a random free upgrade too. That way you would need to readjust your strategy on the fly (if they get a regeneration upgrade, you could counter with giving yourself a damage upgrade. Or if they get a spawn rate upgrade you could counter with fire rate etc.) Though ya a very nice idea overall!

I like how the limitation is used, but I think it could have been clearer how it was used. Some sort of animation to show you hurting yourself with missed shots would have been nice. That said, I enjoyed the game, the upgrade system was nice.

Pretty simple, but not bad.

Some sound effects and enemy variety would be great.

A fun game where the limitation is optional! I honestly wish there was an endless mode but you cn't be too picky! 8/10

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the comment! Technically it's endless if you upgrade enough the castle Health and Regeneration. But it wasn't well explained

I wish I could vote more than 5 stars for the limitation. You nailed it! I loved how any shot I missed would end up hurting me although it didn't make much sense as to why it was hurting me though. I love how we have the ability to control how hard the game is and all the stats within the game. Was a lot of fun to play and would for sure love to see the game grow even more!

Developer

Wow, thanks for the comment! I'm glad you like it. The health bar should represent the Castle bar, so the point is not to destroy to fast so you gain more points. But I think I have some problems expressing thath with the UI. I think it wasn't clear and needs a rework. Thanks again for playing

Pretty fun to play - definitely captured the limitation with you playing both sides. If I had to change one thing I would make the enemy buffs GIVE you gold instead of spending gold on them so you have a big incentive to 'buy' them. Maybe you already have some kind of mechanic like this but I couldn't see it from the description. Overall great game!

Thanks for playing and for the comment! When you upgrade the enemy level gives you more coins and more score. Clearly it wasn't obvius or easy to see. Probably I will redoing the UI after the jam ends

Hello! I liked the game.

Maybe a lack of particles and effects but that's great.

Great job, have a great night.

Thanks. Yeah, i know, i couldn't finish all the art but some particles would be really cool. Thanks for the comment. Have a great night you too

this is really unique, i love it. i was able to win really quickly though by just upgrading my own stuff and leaving the enemies be. it would be cool if every time you upgraded yourself, a corresponding trait for the enemies got upgraded or something. really good otherwise!

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing and for the comment! The UI isn't clear but the idea is that if it too easy you increase the difficulty to gain more points. Thanks again and glad you like it <3

Interesting version of the classic tower defence game. I really like the concept - to play longer and get higher score, update enemy base. Original and fun.
