i like the idea and the goofy style. Unfortunatly the opponent seems to get stuck either far left or right half the time out of reach and softlocking the game.
fun take on the theme but it was super easy to cheese the game by spamming left click
The mechanic was hard for me to understand, but the idea is really fun. Good job!
I like how much personality this game has, with all the goofiness involved, nice work!
A very unique and enjoyable interpretation of the game! I feel like the opponent AI could be further developed, and the fact that the player thumb moves on its own (in a left-right cycle) whenever I'm not moving my mouse is a bit irky. Still! the game is very clever and interesting! Keep it up and good luck on the jam! :D
the sound effects make this feel super fun to play. i played the web version, and the game didn't run very well, so it's good that you have an .exe as well. the hand animations are so goofy and fun! i feel like the enemies health could be explained a bit more, but it didn't take too long to figure out. this is cool!
Love the take on the theme, very creative! Also I appreciate the implementation of scroll wheel and jab and parry and all that. To me this game falls flat a little bit by the fact that you dont really need to use or master them. you can just left click and win. So the AI would need to be way harder or maybe like different levels where it gets harder. But I see the vision and really like it.
I know making a game in 3D is way more work than 2D, and I really appreciate this game, its just missing that addicting fun aspect, that could maybe rise from a harder enemy hand.
Still enjoyable an game, Great work!
It's a very interesting idea. And a cool implementation!
Very Enjoyable!
Good job!! Great recreation of a familiar childhood game
Pretty cool little game. I agree with the comments below, it may work great as a mobile game. What is the green bottle on the right? Maybe you could explain it on the game page.
The green bar on the right is a stamina meter!
Interesting interpretation of the theme... Still leaves more to be desired
Love this interpretation of the theme. Could see this being a really successful mobile game where you use your actual thumb to control the in-game thumb. A bit more visual feedback for the player could help with the overall feel of the game. It was hard to know when I was hitting the enemy thumb other than the SFX. Maybe a hit animation or some kind of visual effect to show you successful hit the enemy. But really nice work for 72 hours!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, some more feedback would go a long way.
Nice take of the theme and thanks for the memories.
The opponent was sometimes stuck at the max left or right position but still fun !
Good job!
