Thank you so much! And actually, Lost Vikings was indeed one of the games that inspired this, thanks for noticing!

Very good game, super fun and really well made. I really liked the graphics and music, and the mechanics are very polished. The level design is very diverse, and the game is a joy to play. Honestly, there’s not much to add — this could easily be the winner of this edition of the jam.

I really enjoyed the game, it feels like it came straight from the NES. The audio is very enjoyable and fitting, and the areas are diverse and encourage you to explore the castle — very fun. The gameplay feels just like the original console. The only issue I found was that after entering the boss room and dying, I couldn’t get back in because the door was closed. I wasn’t sure what to do after that — I don’t know if it was intentional, but I would’ve liked to try defeating the boss again. Other than that, it’s a really great game for this jam. Congratulations!

5200 was the highest I got. I think it’s a very original concept and fits the NES style perfectly. The game has beautiful graphics and the audio is really pleasant. I love the difficulty progression — it offers a great challenge and gives the game a lot of replayability. Very well done!

I loved the game! The animations are really well done, it presents a simple mechanic but makes it fun, the music is great, and the story is very entertaining — especially the ending, which I really enjoyed. The boss battle was a real challenge for me and it was tough to beat, but totally worth it. I would have loved to see a bit more of this game. The NES aesthetic is very strong — it truly feels like a game from the console. Without a doubt, what it offers is really fun. Excellent job!

I really like the concept, but the gameplay feels a bit confusing to me. Still, I’d love to give it another try because the story seems really interesting.

I'm glad you finished the game and liked the ending! I really tried to take care of that part and make sure people would enjoy it. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the comments! I actually tried to include the other characters in different levels without taking the spotlight away from the ones those levels focused on, but due to time constraints, I didn’t design them properly. I also had planned a level before the final one that would combine all four abilities, but I didn’t finish designing it.

As for the princess, this game was based on an idea I had a long time ago that I never got the chance to bring to life. When I saw that the "princess" theme was completely optional for this jam, I decided to go ahead and finally make it happen.

It’s a fun concept, but there’s not much explanation. I had a hard time defeating the spider, and I would have liked something to happen afterward, but I really liked the story the game tells you along the way.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked them!

I loved the graphics, both in the game and in the cutscene, it really feels like those original NES cutscenes. The game controls just like it would on the console, although there are a few bugs with the attack. I would have liked to see more of this game, but the boss fight was a lot of fun. Great job!

I liked the game, the levels are very diverse, although there are some bugs that generate too many enemies and make it harder to progress — I’m not sure if that was intentional. Some jumping sections are very tight and hard to get through. I really enjoyed the battles with the princesses, even though they were quite challenging for me. I also would have liked something to happen after defeating all three, like a scene showing that we rescued them or something similar. But with everything you added, I really enjoyed the game overall.

I'm sorry, I tried to take care of that aspect to make it very similar to the console, but I'm glad you found it fun!

The NES aesthetic is very strong, the game could have definitely existed on that console. The graphics are really well done, I loved the music, especially with the duck sound effects — I found it fun. The gameplay is also very polished and not frustrating, and the character doesn’t get stuck on corners, which is really well handled. Honestly, I thought it was a very good game.

The NES aesthetic feels quite marked, I quite liked the concept of the game but I would have liked to see more variety or greater difficulty, even with that I quite liked the idea

I think it's a fun idea that had the potential for even more, but the fact that it's so short actually makes it somewhat memorable. Good job!

This game feels like it came straight from the console. The graphics are incredible, the music and sound effects fit perfectly, and the room design really invites you to explore. I was impressed by how huge the map was, even though I couldn’t finish it or explore everything, but it was very entertaining, well-crafted, and complete. Definitely one of my favorites in this jam.

Thank you for the comments! And yes, I agree — the bosses were missing some feedback.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I tried to implement the pause menu to also allow level restarts, but it was causing errors, so I ended up disabling it in the end.

I'm glad you liked it! As for the level, it was partly intentional — I noticed it could be completed using that path, so I left it there to give players an alternative way to beat it. The only downside is that it means you don't get to use the other hamster, but thanks for pointing that out!

I loved the graphics, it really feels like an actual NES game and it’s very charming. The gameplay is pretty solid and the game is enjoyable. I appreciate that the game doesn’t make you restart the level after a certain number of deaths, since I died quite a lot. Good game!

I really liked the idea, even though it's a short experience, it's very enjoyable. I only managed to beat the normal mode in 53 seconds, but it was a lot of fun. Well done!

I think the game does a great job of capturing the NES aesthetic, and it truly feels like a real game from that console. Good job!

I had a lot of fun with the minigames and the progressive difficulty, it gives the game a very enjoyable challenge and replayability. I agree with other comments that it feels like WarioWare could have come out on the NES. The minigames are really fun and the characters add variety. Great job!

Thank you again, I'm really happy that the game was understandable and that the cutscenes helped — that was my main concern. Thanks a lot for the comments and for finishing the game!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game, and even more that you finished it. Honestly, I wanted to polish last year's idea and deliver it the way I would have liked back then, but with its own unique touch. Thank you so much for the feedback.

I think the idea behind the game is great, it uses the theme well and it’s challenging to protect and guide the princess. It’s true that switching between mechanics takes some time, but it’s well implemented within the NES theme. I really liked the concept, although there are some parts where the collisions don’t work properly and the player gets stuck. Overall, the game was quite entertaining — it took me 21 minutes to deliver the princess, which was quite a lot to be honest.

This game is amazing, I recognize you from the previous NES Jam edition and I was impressed by this one. The graphics, sound, and gameplay are all very polished, and the game is really enjoyable. Great job!

I love the atmosphere it has, you made great use of the princess theme, and it’s really interesting. The gameplay feels straight out of the NES, and I loved the music, it fits the game perfectly. Excellent work!

I really like what the game conveys, it gives me such a strange but beautiful sense of nostalgia. It's a very calm and lovely game. The graphics are really well done, even if they stray from the NES style. Great job!

I’m glad you liked it.

Thank you so much!

Thank you very much for the comments!
Don’t worry about the filters, that’s how we learn. I added them this year because I saw many people used them last year.

The game feels very comfortable and you can really feel that Celeste inspiration, which fits it very well. I had fun, and the visuals are really beautiful. Great job!

I really liked the idea, although I'm not very good at English so I couldn’t enjoy it as much.

I think it’s a very fun and charismatic game—the mechanic was funny and enjoyable, and it’s a shame it was so short. The idea is really good and has a lot of potential. For the time you had, it’s very well made.

Thank you so much!

The game is very well designed and really entertaining. The visual style is sublime, and the concept truly makes you feel like a wizard befriending Death. A wonderful job!

I feel like with more time it could’ve been a great game. For the time you had, it’s actually quite good. I’m not sure if there’s an ending, but at least some kind of indication of it would’ve been nice.

Honestly, what a great game. The theme and the prerequisite fit perfectly, and the puzzles are really well thought out. I loved the gameplay and managed to finish all 4 puzzles. Excellent work—congratulations!
