  • I like your theme implementation and I like your styling a lot! I'm on board with other comments, using Z to jump was... very difficult, it took me a few attempts to get used to it. I overall enjoyed this submission, good job! I got both endings :)

How does the game fit into the theme?
Only one pistol, only one set of bullets.

What premade assets did you use if any?
None

What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?

The visuals here are pretty cool. I like the CRT effect and this kind of retro green surveillance camera look and feel. Like other commenters, I struggled with the controls a bit, but I think simply switching the keybind for jump would solve this. The connection to theme is maybe a bit loose but the theme in general was pretty vague so I don't fault you for that. Nice work!

Super fun game! Though I felt the theme was a bit weak, as a game on its own it's short and definitely enjoyable. I'm with the comments on the Z part :') But I would also suggest some guide, like it took some time for me to realize I can richocet the bullets, but aside from that, fantastic game!

I am staying with everyone else about jumping with Z ðŸ˜… but cool game. I got both of the endings.

Very nice entry. I like the visuals and music but control is kind of confusing to be honest :). I don't know why you decided to use Z to jump. I think spacebar would be a lot more comfortable.

And what is the purpose of allowing arrow controls? If Z is the only button to jump then it's impossible to fully control the character because you still have to use a mouse :D.

Apart of the controls, it's a solid game. Thanks!

I'm glad you liked several aspects of the game, and the use of the Z key came from another game I made, but I didn’t stop to think it might be so uncomfortable. I’ll make a note of it for next time, thank you very much for the feedback :)

Such a nostalgic vibe! I’m with Atremic on the Z part—since W isn’t used, maybe just map both letters to the same input and you’re good to go! The Windows build bugged out on the last screen, but I did reach the ending in the HTML version, so I still got to enjoy the outro music :)
Loved the music and the art! I’d definitely play more if there was a bit more polish and juice on the controller and a bit more content. Great job!

Thanks for the comment, I’ll have to fix the Windows version.

I would love to know how the game ends, but the choice of Z for jump just made it too difficult for me to jump. And being a platformer, that's kind of important.

I did love the graphics and the sound design!

Sorry about that, and thank you for the comment.
