What ? So much work in a week. Art is so cool, especially those pixelart sketches in the intro. Mechanics is fun and unique. Love the solo among us style, it works well. A lot of content, mini games are fun (while sometimes a bit obscur at first). A boss battle ? Which I won ! But I'm not sure to be honest :D
Such a cool entry for the jam, good job !
Such a unique and poetic mechanic. I love your take on the theme. It definitely makes me think of a mechanic you could find in some It takes two gardening time. I loved the music too. Gameplay was surprisingly good too. Good length too as I finished the game. Very nice entry for this jam !. One I would remember at least :)
Thanks !
I implement a way of downloading your run if you want to share it. As in game it's hard to have the fullscreen view of what you did. It displays your score, name, and the run. I used it with my rivals to talk about ways to handle a level. To avoid it you don't click on the button at the end of the run and just press space. But it's really a last minute change and the UI isn't really clear about that sorry
Eg :
Thanks ! Your game was awesome, even if I already comment, it's always nice to say it again :D
Thanks for your feedback, glad you appreciate the game. For the leaderboard, it's heavily inspired by trackmania where you can see the top 5, and the person just above you. I love this system. I still register up to 50 scores for now, just so you can see your place climbing :D
Ha ! Thanks for the in depth answer. No it was pretty clear I had to go back with the teleport, I think I just missed the food in the boss room :) I did take a look around before teleporting though. I'll try to do it again if I have time, to see what I missed.
And yes player progression would be super cool indeed. Obviously you did already a lot in a week, we all make compromise ahah.
For the progression it makes me think that something along the Sol cesto progression could be nice. Gold you have to get abilities during the run and gold you save for meta progression. Anyway great game !
Damn you had to made me go back didn't you :) I love this new use of the animal well yoyo (at least for me it looked like it at first), It was at the end very different and super cool to use. Love the physics and the kinda puzzle part where I had to understand how to tackle a jump. Audio loop is lit, design is simple but I like it. Controls were snappy. Very good game good job !
Visual and controls were on point good job ! I obviously would more diverse ennemies, I think I did 228, at the end it was a bit repetitive to just circle around the level while shooting backwards :) but it's a jam game. I love the random mechanics and love your take on the theme. Solid entry ! Would love to see an update on this
I beat the boss but wasn't sure about what to do next, so I teleport back but couldn't do much more than just beating him again. Maybe I missed something ?
I liked your take on the theme though, and beat two very differents bosses, with more content and maybe stuff that really changes the boss, It could be fun. I was eager to find what the gold part was but I guess I'll never see :D
Great job anyway !
Congrats on submitting for the jam ! I played quite some time on your game so I'll take the time to get you some proper feedback :D Art is very cool, love the mood of the rising/falling sun in this canyon. Great job, audio fits well the game too I think. For context I stopped the game on the rolling part above the hole after spending a lot of tries without success (falling mostly on the first very small edge in the middle where I think you have to stop to continue ?
Anyway the main things I would love to see in this game are : - A better camera movement, I really didn't like the inertia on the camera (I tried both mouse and keyboard, and controller, but I stuck with M&B as it's usually my preference). A lot of times I would turn sharply and going for a fast jump and the camera would keep on turning making me miss my jump. This forced me to stop almost everyjump, putting the camera right and then jump. Which was kinda annoying when I had to redo every jump ten times due to my lack of competence in jumping apparently :D - This is probably a design choice, but same goes with the armadillo, it felt a bit slippery. I'd rather have snappy controls on this kind of games, but it really is a matter of taste. - At the end I felt the same with platform edges, often I felt like I nailed the jump but apparently not. Like if the collision shape were kinda round and I was slightly off edge and slipping away. Again maybe a taste thing, but I would rather have clear collision shapes. This didn't help that I fell a lot because I am too used to coyote time on the jump :D
Apart from this, I really enjoy your game, and love the controls and your take on the theme, the cute armadillo, the scenery so good job ! Great entry for the jam. And I hope my feedback doesn't feel like i'm critiquing the game but just feedback I would have appreciated receiving.
As people already said, it was super hard to understand the walljump mechanic, I can't quite put my finger on what felt off. But I never had it consistent. Even after several minutes of gameplay. I still manage to get through level 1 and 2 but at what cost for my mental ahah.
Besides that, I kinda like the inertia the character has, especially with these intense fight I had with these TOO CLEVER gold balls damn. Very cool enemies, good job on that, i'm not sure how they felt so smart. :)
Very cool mini game ! I had a rough start but after understanding the concept, it was super smooth. Love the fact that you gain the points only when the circle touch the edge of the screen. Would love a bit more of progression but it's a jam game :) Smart scope, well executed, music is perfect, good job !
Super cute and nice ! Clever take on the theme, the spinning wheel really adds up a lot to the story. It's so refreshing to get on a story like this without too much drama and problems. The cozy art goes perfectly well with this. A lot of content for just a week of work. Honestly from the menu screen, I could already tell this was going to be a quality game, good job ! Also after seeing the comment below, I root for Wheeliam too ahah.
I spend some times trying to understand why my crosshair wasn't plain center. I finally found a way to put back there by going zoom 50% on itch.io I don't know. After doing this, it was fun to do a 1080 double flip shot :D
Would love a sensitivity setting for fps game like this, but hey it's a gamejam.
Good job !
