  • This is such an amazing submission, from the artstyle, the controls to the worldbuilding and shaders. Honestly, I could play an entire indie game made in this style/with this story. Such an awesome concept and execution, good job!

WOW! this game slaps, It's rare to see such a narrative game in a jam with this much time, so good on you, honestly this is a impressive full experience! I love the art style you go for! it reminds me of PSX/early PC games which is sick! some textures do feel a bit off overall, like they're too detailed? but still overall nice!

I also REALLY love the music, it has such a vibe, and just is a bop overall! also great use of the theme, I loved planning out everything, drawing on the map, making sure I memorize the pattern! super nice!!

the biggest issue I do have is the collisions ;-; sometimes I'd just hit air, mainly in the planning section, I think i'd just get a shotcut, but then, nope, into the void lol, wish there was some indicator there was a wall

another thing is it's super easy to get screwed over by flipping, I tried using the LMB but most of the time i'd just be screwed and stuck waiting for the timer to retry, wish it was a simple respawn instead of flip

e

either way I still think this is very good and impressive! you did amazing for the time given, great work overall!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to give such detailed feedback ! I really appreciate it!

I definitely need to check out some tutorials for the textures. Right now, I usually make a huge mess in Blender, then just smart UV shape the whole mesh and scale things around until it looks about right... even when I’m using multiple different textures, which probably ruins the whole thing, haha.

For the simulation, I used the same mesh as the race, and just hid the walls, but I didn’t really plan it properly. As a result, the road often overlaps a lot under the walls, which makes it feel like there are some shortcuts or wider roads. I’ll definitely clean that by the end of the jam. Maybe I could even try a semi-transparent wall to make the 3D layout clearer or stuff like that.

Last but not least, the worst part for me is how the car keeps flipping honestly. I’m thinking of fully locking the side rotation, and maybe limiting the front/back tilt to certain angles to avoid it. It’s just super frustrating to have everything planned and then flip on a random straight jump. The LMB fix was clearly a last-minute 4am hack to try to patch it up :/

Again, thanks so much for your feedback and ideas, it really helps! And it helps keeping the motivation to patch it, even if I think it will stay a jam game !

This is crazy good for 3 days work!!! The build-up, the tension of the ONESHOT you have, it's crazy. The vibes are immaculate here and I love it

Thank you so much !

This game was absolutely fantastic. The planning, the ONE shot, the feel of the driving, the sound, it was all great! Amazing job on getting so much done in two days! It really felt complete!

Thank you so much for your feedback ! I'm glad you experienced it just the way I intended!!

This game did everything right, I really enjoyed it. The story draws you in, the gameplay is very fun and makes the game really enjoyable. One of my favorites from the jam, great job!

Developer

It’s the first time I’ve tried something a bit more narrative, so I was a bit nervous about having too much dialogue and all that.
So I’m really glad you liked it, thanks a lot for the feedback!

Yoy did that alone!! Great game.

To be honest, I feel  like the music (done by my brother) adds a lot of the experience but other than that, it was a exhaustive yeah ! Thank you !

LITTERLY 5 STARS ON EVERYTHING HOW DID YOU YOU MAKE THIS IN SUCH A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME ??

!!!!!!!

🥹 Thank you so much! I crunched a lot this weekend and still had to leave so many things out, so I’m really glad you enjoyed it this much!

Omg, this is actually amazing! I love all the creative choices, the style, everything. This definitely needs to be expanded upon after the jam! The map was a little hard to navigate though. At one point I flipped the car over under a bridge (it was pitch black), and just kept rolling hoping that something is happening :D

"Whoops! Yeah, I'm not exactly a 3D expert aaand I ran out of time, so the meshes are a bit full of holes. Haha. Really appreciate your time and feedback, thank you! 🙏🙏

Love the story and political background. The setting with the desk and all is also really nice. Sadly though I am a bad driver and could not get the documents there in time 🥲.

Thanks a lot! After a bit of playtesting, It feels like this is WAY TO HARD. haha i'm sorry for that ahah

This is amazing. Incredible work for only 72 hours. I love when people go with a more narrative driven game jam submission. The driving physics were a bit tough for me to get used to, but the mood, visuals, story, and everything else were spot on.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Yeah, the driving’s still very rough ! It was my first try at making a racing game, so I’m hoping it’ll get better. Especially if I can stop the car from doing a barrel roll every time 😭, haha

Cool art, and gameplay... I liked it... If I were to be nit-picky, I'd say the typing sound kinda distracts me a bit uWu...

Developer(+1)

Thanks ! The one for the intro or the dialogue after that ?
Funnily enough I just thought while playing Behind the light by Atremic that the dialogue sounds was really better than mine. So It's not so nit-picky ! Thanks for the feedback

Great job! I love the aesthetic, the dialogue is fun, the mood is super fun too, great job! Only thing I wish existed was some sounds for the car while driving, but its normal on a jam! Great job! First submission I've downloaded, the same thing happened on my game, the web version is missing some shaders and it looks a little different overall, so I understand the pain. Good luck!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I started looking into better sound implementation for the car and didn’t expect to find such a deep niche on YouTube, full of insane plugins and techniques. I instantly dropped the idea and decided to polish other parts of the game instead. But now I’m hooked, and I’ll definitely take another shot at creating a good engine sound. (Also, camera shake on impact could really add something too.)
Thanks again for the feedback!

Very cool concept but the map i did not understand at all :D I couldn't get the map up while driving either. Other than that, great and fun game

Developer

Thanks ! Sadly I didn't have time to implement the map as a minimap in the last driving part -_- It would have make much more sens.
Thank you for the time and feedback !
