How does the game fit into the theme?

You play as a Therizinosaurus mother who sadly lost all her eggs except one and now has to defend it (there is also only one Therizinosaurus).

HELL YEAH DINOSAURS!!! I LOVE THEMM!!! And for that you have my vote 😔

I really love the movement animation of the dinosaurs and the fact that you added a Dinopedia! I felt the walks were a bit tedious and long, though perhaps it's part of the experience 🤔 Still! This is a very solid entry and a solid interpretation of the theme mixed with something you love!

Thank you so much! AND YEAH DINOSAURS!!! LOVE THEM TOO! Really glad you like the movement animation because it was a real pain and took ages (I think it was my first time doing bone animation instead of just spritesheets) 😊
And yeah the journey is way too long especially for a game jam, maybe I will change that a bit in a future version.

A unique interpretation of the theme, probably the only dinosaur based game here which is awesome. The controls unfortunately were clunky enough it made it frustrating to play, otherwise a solid entry!

Thank you! Yeah understandable, I did want the player to commit to an action and not change it midway, but could have probably still made the controlls overall a bit more user friendly and less clunky, thats true!

Very unique take on the theme! The game is pretty chill, and the overall idea is really cute. Nice job on the animations too! Would be nice to have a little more feedback from the game, especially during fights, since it was a bit confusing to know what I was doing against the T-rex. Other than that, great job :)

Interesting idea. I love that you went with a more unique spin on the theme - a mother protecting her one and only egg. The gameplay was a little challenging for me. I think maybe you need some number pop-ups, effects, and just a bit more game juice so the player knows when they're dealing damage or successfully eating, etc. It was a bit hard to know what was happening when the T-Rex is clobbering you. Nice work for just 72 hours! The cutout art style is really unique too.
