- I dig this game a lot (get it, get it>? Cuz, cave aesthetic? Yeah, I'm sorry). Either way, terrible jokes aside, it was a really fun experience, however I would make the goblin baiting a little easier since wow it took me so many tries to beat some levels hah. Either way, really cool submission! Good job!
How does the game fit into the theme?
You only get one arrow per level.
What premade assets did you use if any?
None at all. Unless you count fonts and utility code. (FWIW there's no AI or 3rd-party assets either)
What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?
aksommerville

This was great, loved how the simple concept is explored in a interest and varied way while also being challenging, it's really polished!

Best time run :
Best time with chests :
Whoa 1:32 is really good!
Could be better but I kept dying at the level where we need the drop 4 enemies to center so I did it very slowly but it wouldn't be this fun without that level too :D
Good mechanic I love this style
I just suggest 2 things
1 make the attack of the gobblins have a delay of 0.1s to atack and a little warnig, this can be helpul and dont affect the levels,
2 I fell the gravity kinda slowly, if you increase can be better
Keep on with the project, I ll like play later!
I’ve actually already updated the goblins so they give a little warning. (it’s super cute, they look surprised for a bit, then pounce). That will be up as soon as the jam closes.
Will look at increasing the gravity a little.
Thanks for the feedback!
When you do that, I'd recommend having gravity being heavier when the player is falling to add some satisfying weight to it
Man I love this one
The treasure and death point system adds a lot of replayability, and the way the goblins flatten on your arrow is so funny
I wish there was a proper restart game button so I could get new attempts on the perfect run without having to refresh the whole tab
Thanks for playing!
Good call on a Reset button – I’ll get that in the first post-jam update.
I really enjoyed playing this game. It's very well thought out and offers a well-balanced challenge. The first time I beat it, it was quite hard and I didn’t collect all the gold, but on my second attempt I did manage to get it. The ending was totally worth it, it's more satisfying than the one you get if you don’t. Visually, I love the aesthetic, the gameplay is excellent, and the interpretation of the theme couldn't have been better. One of my favorites from the jam, wonderful work!

Great level design, this feels like a complete game, and a very good one too!
Also love the name of the game. It really sticks with u :D Amazing entry!
First: I LOVE the title! It sticks in your mind.
I really appreciate the simplicity of the graphics, and how polished the whole game feels.
It plays beautifully and is perfect for a short session, brings me back to my childhood playing random flash-games!
Wonderful Job!
made these two look like they're talking behind this guys back lolol
I really love this game, super fun mix of puzzle and timing! anything I say is a repeat of what others say, but basically, amazing work, I really love this game, super fun and charming!!!
Beautiful game and brilliant idea/interpretation of the theme! I like that the enemy can lunge at you and you can goad them into falling into holes and whatnot. However, the goading part was a bit hard to time :') Nevertheless, I really really enjoyed the game and the puzzles behind it! Good luck on the jam :D
very fun puzzler! since kiting the enemies is so important, i think making the enemy dashes were a bit more forgiving, or making the player a bit faster would help the game feel more forgiving. i like how there are two phases to each level: puzzling out how to line up the goblins; and then the execution of actually kabobing them! the two phases makes the game feel more full and rewarding. and it really is so satisfying to kabob them. sorry little guys </3. the zelda music motifs were great
Finished it but still got scolded for being poor.
I love the background music theme, it's still stuck in my head. Gameplay is super fun, I struggled with some levels at first but it's cool they're tricky enough to challenge you, but simple enough that it takes a few retries at most to solve them.
The only thing I really struggled with was learning how to wall slide and trick the goblins at the same time. I got the hang of it later and got the right rhythm for enough slide-and-tease for it to work, but it was easy to jump over the ledge by accident and get eaten.
Bonus points for it being all in C! Gave me nostalgia poking around the source code.
Very nice and fun!
This is a really fun game! I think the graphics, gameplay, and sound all work incredibly well together. I thought it was a bit frustrating how low the jump was since I would sometimes find the goblin catching me by a pixel or two but other than that it's a great game!
I really like how you get one arrow. I struggled on level 4 i think, not sure how to line up the goblins. I love the wall climbing, makes it feel like a stealth game. it would be cool if you could pick up the arrow a number of times.

really like the interpretation of the theme and the music, it's quite hard tho
Very strong interpretation of the theme! Although i felt like the goblins were way too restrictive in their ai, but the arrow lineups were awesome. (wish i could go pick up my arrow if i missed.)
Picking up the arrow if it’s unkabobbled is a great idea, why didn’t I think of that! Will do it in the first post-jam update, thanks!
Really tricky but extremely fun and satisfying when you hit a cool lineup:)
Love the simple graphics as well as the idea of the game... GREAT JOB
