This was a super fun game! You did a great job setting up the atmosphere with the art & music - I think the light mechanics worked especially well with the tone of the game. The puzzles were fun as well and I enjoyed reading into the story throughout it.
thank you so much! The game was really fun to develop and discover different ideas with the light mechanics. I’m sure there is much more I could do with it and I plan on expanding it some more in the future!
this is such an amazing game, the story is amazing, the gameplay while simple is nice, and dam, just a beautiful game, I hope you do make this a full release, like tweak some things with the music and puzzle and bug fixing (I remember going through the wall in the last room i think lol) and you got yourself a really good game! amazing work!
thanks for such a lovely comment! I have noticed the last room’s bug and some puzzles would need reworking. But I do plan on expanding the game, giving it a more thorough story! :D
I like the work with light and thee interpretation. Graphics and sound design is working perfectly for building up the atmosphere. Would love to see more of your game
thank you! I really wanted to nail the ambience as I think it was crucial to giving the game an identity. I will probably work on expanding it into a larger game!
I’d love to see more of this game, it has great potential. I really liked the story and I think it’s a very good game overall.
Thank you for the kind words!
Since the feedback to the game is good, I will probably spend more time on it and expand it into a full game with an even deeper story!
So pretty :) The first puzzle is my favourite, would like to see more plays with light! In the last room I could walk through walls which I doubt was intentional. I might be blanking but I'm not sure what the left shape that shows health is?
thanks for the nice comment! I noticed the walls but got busy fixing other bugs and completely forgot about them 😠the shape was supposed to be the brain but it kinda turned out like a blob 😅 im glad you enjoyed the game!
I liked how the light mechanics worked. I was confused by the key in the initial room, but after that was good for me. I think a few more light puzzles would really help this game since there seems to be a lot of mechanics with the ability to change the lantern's brightness.
I will probably keep developing this game even after the jam, because I am convinced that there is so much more to explore. Thank you for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Really good looking game, and quite smooth. Not entirely convinced by the connection to the theme
Thanks for the kind words! As i wrote on your comment under the game, the message behind the game was supposed to be accepting that sometimes even darkness can help us see light and live the one life we have. But it is slightly obscured behind quotes, that is true.
Thank you again for playing the game!
Absolutely stunning art, music, and ambiance! I love the use of lighting and its ties to the theme and the psychologcal horror genre! The left room puzzle was a bit confusing though, and I ran out of time :') Still! If you ever do a devlog on this game, I'd make sure to read it cause I'd love to learn how you did the lighting and ambiance :D
Thank you! It was very fun creating the game and its content. A devlog was certainly in mind and it might finally happen. Thanks for playing!
Loved the music and the artstyle!
Thank you! I'm pretty proud of how it turned out :D
Awesome work. You nailed the ambiance and overall vibe. Really clever use of the theme too, and the lighting is immaculate. I was a bit lost on one of the puzzles but otherwise some really smart puzzle design! (Also, maybe it's a me problem!)
One of the puzzles is really... not obvious and confusing. I'm glad you enjoyed it and understood the connection to the theme :D
Crazy good! The lighting effects are awesome, and I really like that it’s not just cosmetic, there’s an actual reason for lighting to exist.
I ran out of time while puzzling over the 2-key door. Will be back…
Thank you! The lighting did take time to nail correctly but it was worth it. It'd make me happy if you returned to try and finish the game!
This is an amazing design,But I still don't know where I got the key to the left room
I've gotten that feedback while developing also but it was too late to change the mechanic. Thank you for your kind comment!
Very good entry ! I'm still not 100% sure how I get the left room key but i'll take it!
Super polished, and cool ambiance and fun to play. Good job !
Hi! Thank you for your kind comment! Yes, that is also the feedback I got while developing but it was too late to make a change (won't write the answer yet, for spoilers) :D Glad you enjoyed it nonetheless!
Love the ambiance, and the puzzles were a cool use of mechanics! Would have loved to have a stronger story <3
Thank you so much for your kind comment! :3
