  • I'm addicted, I am not really good at this, can't do too much, however this simple project is so fun! I enjoyed it a ton! Awesome theme implementation!

How does the game fit into the theme?
You only get one seed to plant flowers in a plot of land.
You only get one sprite texture at a time. (for real!)
You only get one mouse click to control the game.

What premade assets did you use if any?
Everything but the music was made during the jam window.
Music CC0 from https://tallbeard.itch.io/music-loop-bundle

What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?

Nice game! I think it would greatly benefit from random terrain generation. (I'm a sucker for that kind of thing)

Developer

Definitely something I’m planning to get to at some point!

smooth and beautiful :)
Very good making the leaderboards! My score was 1408

Nice and chill, good music choice :) I managed to get on the leaderboard, daisy for the win! I didn't really figure out a strategy, just got lucky, but I'm a bit bummed it didn't prompt me to put my name in at the start now haha

Developer

If you like puzzle games with lots of flowers where the strategy actually matters to get to the leaderboard, I expanded this project here: https://josepvalls.itch.io/blooming (the two jams were overlapping).

I would like a Russian translation: D, because I don't know English very well.

Every score on the list is mine except the 2031 HOW DID HE DO THAT I AM PLAYING THIS FOR 3 HOURS (I'm not addicted at all)

I hope you still enjoyed it. Every time the soil ph (alkalinity and acidity), and to a smaller degree the salinity and water table is randomized. That affects how some plants spread but most importantly where the other seeds will spawn. I will try to make this more obvious so you can try to block them out. I am definitely still working on this and I want to expand it for the https://itch.io/jam/tgcxcoreblazer jam. I checked your game. I love the background wallpaper and it already gave me a couple ideas on how to draw the field in the background.

I had so much fun I tought I played it for only 15 munites but it was 3 hours already. As you said you can maybe show where other flovers will start because sometimes you just get trapted but other than that I liked the randomenes it makes the game fun. If you add something to do while flovers are groving and make new maps it would be good. Finally only flovers that can really score high (I'couldn't score higher than 1400 with others) daisy, rose and violet. Other flovers generally don't have a chance to grow so large even if there is no other flovers blocking you (except you get insane lucky fit soil to your flover). I loved the game and I hope you build on it because I will play it got me addicted like cookie clicker. :D

Btw that's how I was playing :D

Hello @Usta87, I expanded this project here: https://josepvalls.itch.io/blooming (the two jams were overlapping). The game I had in mind was always a puzzle game and there are way more flowers now! I thought I’d let you know in case you want to check it out.

The pointy texture was my favorite!

Nice relaxing game, I love watching algorithms run by themselves

Developer

Me too. I can’t tell you how long I have spent just staring at these little flowers. I will definitely continue working on this for a separate overlapping jam, I’ll let you know how it goes. And for the future, maybe have PCG landscapes to submit to procjam in a few months if they host it again. https://itch.io/jam/procjam

Cool concept!
