Really nice gameboy style graphics and audio, nice stuff. Damned hard though, it took several tries before I could work out the jump distance for those spikes!

the skull has a lot of character! Wish it weren't so punishing, I can't play for more than 10 seconds - but then I'm clumsy. Very nice for a 'beginner', keep doing great things!
Hi guys! Thank you all for the feedback, it motivates me to continue studying. At the moment I am learning to add score and sound in the game and plan to release a more complete version soon.

I hope it'll be finished! Nice artwork, really like the animation. Add more moves, maybe adjustable jump height, more obstacle and some scoring system and of course sounds and music. Can be a really fun game!

Neat little "demo" or "engine" or whatever you could call it. Not much to do of course, but what is in there at least looks great!
A good start; nice pixel art. The game obviously needs work, as you know; as far as I can tell it's not possible to jump over two sets of spikes next to one another. You'll also not want to make the "restart the game" keypress also count as a "jump" keypress. But this could grow to be something good with more work!

Hi @Shortee! I am a beginner and unfortunately could not complete the game on the jam's time, but I learned a lot trying to build it and I intend to finish it and then release a post-jam version. I still need to learn how to add score and game over.
Is there a game yet? All I can do is jump in the menu :/
