A fun concept and well-executed!

It definitely reminded me of Patrick’s Parabox, as you mentioned yourself, but it’s still impressive to create such a solid and enjoyable variant within just 10 days!

The visuals looked good and the game feels very polished and well put together. The controls were smooth, and while the audio wasn’t anything groundbreaking, it was solid and did the job.

A nice amount of levels and puzzles to keep things interesting. The theme was nicely integrated—check!

Overall, a solid jam entry and a great base for even more to come. Good job! 🧩🎮👏

Man, just when I thought I had a chance at this game jam... you gotta snatch it away from me just like that?? 😄

Yeah so I had basically zero complaints. Maybe except that this is suspiciously similar to Patrick's Parabox, although I haven't played that one yet so I can't tell how much is inspiration and how much is copying. The only place I didn't give you 5 stars was audio... you know... could've had a couple more varied/polished sound effects, could've had some adaptive music... but really. You wowed me.

I was absolutely blown away when I first played Patrick’s Parabox, and I really wanted to capture some of that magic. It was a great learning experience, especially from a technical perspective. That said, the only thing we really took from it was the recursive level boxes and the ability to enter them. Outside of that, I think our games are quite different. Patrick’s Parabox is all about pushing blocks in and out of level boxes, whereas in our game, you can’t push objects into them or backtrack. Instead, we focused more on assembling blocks together to shape the next area, which felt like a better fit for the jam’s theme.

And yeah… audio is definitely something I want to improve in future jams! We only started adding sound a couple of hours before the deadline, so it was a bit rushed.

One of the most fun entries I've tried yet, Love the smooth transitions between levels and also the puzzles for each one is done so uniquely. I did wish there was sorta a tutorial at the start to explain how the transition works but after a while I got the hang of it

Things I didn’t like: movement felt like inputs were being eaten/delayed.

I totally get what you mean about the movement—it was something I struggled to balance. Some players preferred the robot to turn first instead of pushing immediately, while others wanted more responsive inputs. As a last-minute compromise, I added an advanced movement option (holding Shift while moving) to remove the delay for those who prefer faster gameplay or speedrunning. I didn’t have time to fully refine a solution that would satisfy both playstyles, but it’s definitely something I’d like to improve in the future!

This game might capture the "Breaking The Loop" theme the best I've seen yet! Great job. The transitions were so smooth and well done, and the loop mechanic was perfect. The only improvement I would suggest is to maybe make more features that set it apart from that other game people are mentioning in the comments (Patrick Parabox), which would make it more original. Besides that, the execution is stellar, keep up the great work!

I get the comparison, especially since both games explore recursive spaces and have a similar transition effect. Patrick’s Parabox was definitely an inspiration, but calling this a clone overlooks a lot of what makes our game unique.

The level design, mechanics, and puzzle structure are completely different—for example, in our game, you can't backtrack after entering a level block, and you have to actively assemble levels to progress, which leads to entirely new types of puzzles. If you compare a walkthrough of both games, the solutions and problem-solving approaches are nothing alike. I don't think there's a single level in either game that could be replicated identically in the other.

That said, I appreciate you checking out the game!

Listen, if i copy a game, same mechanics, same feel. But create new levels, that is still a copy! Of course you didnt copy patricks parabox levels, but the core gameplay loop, is the same as your inspiration. Every game is directly or indirectly inspired by another game, look Magic and Pokemon, they both follow a similar idea, but in the gameplay they are completly different. I for my game got inspired by balatro, with the feel of the game, but if you play it you are going to see that it has nothing to do with my game, Because its his own thing.

Im sure that you didnt want this to be the case, but unfortunatly it is. I hope that for your next games, you can better understand the difference, between inspiring and copying

This said if this game has been done in the jams period, it's very impressive 👍, though for me it is not rateable

The best puzzle games are the ones where you feel your mind breaking a little. You sir, made just that.

Like, I could say "the graphics could have been better", but honestly, who cares about the graphics, when you have this gem!

You did this in 10 days? Unbelievable, this is really well done. I would not know how to start building something like this. Checkpoint 9 was the most difficult for me. But the game mechanics just clicked after a few levels. Very clean, very well done.

This game is SO well done.

At first I was sceptic because It was so similar to Patrick's Parabox and I find it difficult to create something so complex in the little time we had. But then I read through your devlog: It is well explained and referenced, as a carefully planned lesson from a professor that loves what he does. This game shows your experience and dexterity in a field you love, and also serves as an encouragement to keep learning and experimenting for beginners like me.

A facinating and mind-boggling experience reminiscent of games like Portal and Cocoon!

I loved the way the concept kept on evolving and getting even crazier.

Great visuals on transitioning between worlds.

If this game were to be developed even further i would make the pacing a smidge more gradual as to give the player more time to digest the game mechanics.

Other than that and the music looping a little stiffly, this is a great submission!

I absolutely love the concept - it fits the 'breaking the loop' theme perfectly! The overall art style is cozy, visually appealing, and feels really cohesive. The puzzle design is excellent, and I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw myself moving on a similar tile on the other side of a wall - such a clever touch! :D

This game is very well designed, and the visuals with the smooth transitions are amazing. I do think the use of the theme is a bit thin, but still a very good submission. Insane that this was made in 10 days.

The only gameplay complaint I have is that the controls are a bit sluggish. In these types of games, when you tap a direction multiple times you usually want the guy to move that many squares, but that's a pretty minor thing.

Unfortunately, when the fractal part happened I left it on for a little bit and it crashed and I lost all my progress :(.

Still, I enjoyed it a lot!

As for the theme, every level loops into itself in some way, though I totally get that different players might interpret the theme differently. That’s part of the fun of a game jam—seeing all the creative takes on it!

I couldn’t reproduce the crash, but it might be a performance issue since the game isn’t very optimized. Or maybe you just got unlucky. 😅 Either way, I appreciate the heads-up! If you’re interested in seeing the end of the game, I’ve added a gameplay video to the itch page.

The gameplay is simply top-tier, on par with the best puzzle games like Elechead or Cosmic Express. I'm a fan of these games, and my YouTube channel features almost all the great ones from Steam, though I see that in game jams, I can find others as well. It's a shame this is just a jam game—I think with a bit more length, it could be a huge commercial hit.

The graphics are solid, and the music is excellent.

Sorry, but I have to say it—I can't believe this game was conceived entirely within the ten days of the jam, at least in terms of its core idea. I’m not trying to discredit the game; I’m just speaking as a fan. It’s totally fair if this idea was one of many you had and it happened to fit the jam. Unfortunately, my own list of ideas isn’t more than 100, and none of them matched the jam exactly, so I had to improvise.

I'm so glad to see such a positive comment! You can believe me—the whole game was made during the jam period (except for the audio assets, of course). I've participated in a ton of game jams, but this was definitely the most ambitious idea I’ve ever had (especially since I had to work on it alongside my full-time job). We spent the first four days of the jam searching for the perfect idea and eventually landed on something heavily inspired by Patrick's Parabox. It was challenging, but I’m very proud of the end result, so it was definitely worth it. Thank you so much for playing and for your comment!

After finishing all the puzzles, the ending was certainly unexpected. Overall, it's a fantastic puzzle; a lot of content is presented, and the jam's theme is definitely nailed here. I tried walking around in the ending. Though there are invisible walls, the player seems to still be able to break out of them in certain places.
