Very nice project. I enjoyed the controls, although they can still be improved, and the idea of the game. Art wise the game is a bit lacking, but it's understandable given the strict limitation. about the theme... Weeell I feel like there is a lot of space in space!🤣 The player can move everywhere in a basically infite space, i found myself lost a couple of times, but still.
Overall this game could be expanded into something more polished and interesting. it gets extra points for the dificult things it is trying to do 💯
Well done! 👍👍
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. You will make bad choices and even ruin entire projects sometimes, but that’s exactly how you grow as a game developer. 😉
Trust me, I’ve made plenty of mistakes myself, and I’ll continue to make more. But the important thing is that every mistake teaches you something, and you’ll never repeat the same one twice.
I'm vouching for you! 💯💯💯
Very nicely done game, i don't think there is much to say here, art and sound is good and the theme and limitation are respected 💯 my only critique is that the game lacks a bit of originality, it's litterally one of those knife mobile games. I do think the level progressin system is interesting.
Overall good job on your first jam. Keep up the good work! 👍
Very fun game! original and respectant of the theme. my only critique may be excessive randomness of the pieces, i would suggest (if you haven't already) using a bag randomization, like tetris. Audio is perfect and the art style is good though it could use a bit of extra polish (It's never enough ;))
Very good job. 💯💯
This game shows a lot of potential! The art style is really well done, and the music complements it nicely. Personally, I found the difficulty a bit too high, and the levels felt somewhat repetitive. If you plan to continue development, I’d suggest moving away from the high score system and focusing on a more concrete objective instead. Adding some extra sound effects would also help enhance the experience. finally for me, the theme is not followed in an original way, i guess it fits though.
Overall, it’s a solid and polished entry that cleverly turns the limitation into a defining artistic choice.
Good job!👍
Interesting game with a nice level of polish!
The gameplay felt a bit too simple for me — essentially a “fit the shapes” loop. The sheep gimmick is charming, but not quite deep enough to keep players engaged for a long time. Maybe focusing a bit less on the numbers of levels could help with this. That said, I really appreciated the inclusion of an interactive tutorial; it’s always a strong addition, and it was very well executed here.
The art style is distinct and memorable, pairing nicely with the music and overall vibe. I think it could benefit even more from a restricted color palette and tighter pixel precision, which would give it an extra layer of visual impact.
The theme is well respected, though I feel it could have been explored in a more original way. The limitation was also handled without any issues.
Overall, this is a solid and valuable entry. With more unique gameplay mechanics and an extra push of polish (there’s never too much polish 😉), it could really shine as a standalone mobile game. Great job, keep it up!
Nice game, a bit too simple and for now just a bubble shooter. For what I've understood you self imposed a limitation on yourself to make this game as lite as possible. Although impressive, I don't think it can justify the lack of content and the presence of bugs (bubbles of different colors getting wrongfully removed and lag when popping larger clusters of balls). So, for now, I cannot rate this project.
P.s I'm curious to know how big are the project files, I always love optimizing work💯
Nice game, very good idea. just a couple of things:
The game does not have a perfect fit with the theme, it is saved only by the changing of player dimensions. music should not reset everytime you restart the level. Finally in my very personal opinion keys should not be counted as "fuel to jump" nothing wrong with your take, i just find it adds a bit of usless complexity, having to check for the order of the objects taken that, most of the times, is a bit random.
Other than this, the game's scope is perfectly sized for a jam, the artstyle is a bit simple but it works, the gameplay idea is also very good, extra points for the originality! 💯
Overall: good, straight to the point and interesting entry; well done! 👍
Gameplay wise, it feels like there are a few things missing. I often found myself wandering without a clear sense of purpose — a short tutorial at the start could really help guide new players.
Ball control also feels quite tricky, almost like walking barefoot on soapy marbles 😅 maybe some fine-tuning there would make it more satisfying.
Performance wise, even in the Windows build I noticed some issues. This might be due to the high number of polygons being rendered simultaneously. To optimize, I’d suggest merging certain game objects into single models, simplifying hitboxes for complex shapes, and consolidating assets where possible.
I do not see how this game fits the theme at all. i guess that the walls kinda do limit your space, but thats not enough. Very good work on the limitation though 👍
Finally the art style is gorgeous, very little to say. also good work on the sound design, it is not given for granted
Overall nice work!
Good idea and fun concept for a game. I see that the game breaks the limitation, i understand it's only for a cutscene but still. I've also noticed that clicking the PG13 button at the start more than once, automatically triggers the exit button underneath, freezing the game. I also found it a bit difficult to understand the gameplay at first. Other than this, very nice subbmission keep it up! 👍👍
Yes it is! The thing it prioritizes changes based on the AI type: it can either be defensive; Prioritizing hoarding dices, or offensive; closing in on the player. Smarter AI also knows what is the best player move, and the optimal dice to use; preferring more common dices over others.
It's easy to underestimate the amount of strategy that, what can look like a random game, has to offer. Understanding its logic, and the basics game mechanics, enables you to win almost 100% of the games. ;)
There is an AI, it gets more complex as the game progresses. I understand that the game can feel a bit unfair, that is normal, because this is not a puzzle game. if i continue working on the project, it would probably become a party game. Thats because that randomness makes the game more replayable and laid back, making for a more casual and relaxing experience, where even if you are a pro the results are never 100% garanteed, making it more engaging and less predictable.
Thank you for playing and leaving feedback! 🙂
Well thank you! If you tell me that its not belivable that i made it in the jam timeframe you are giving me an incredible compliment!. I did make the game during the jam, and i thought about the theme before starting. But i get that maybe its hard to relate to it. I think i can provide proof on how much i took to make it. If you want to reach out on discord i will be happy to show you!
That said thank you really much for playing and leaving your feedback!
Listen, if i copy a game, same mechanics, same feel. But create new levels, that is still a copy! Of course you didnt copy patricks parabox levels, but the core gameplay loop, is the same as your inspiration. Every game is directly or indirectly inspired by another game, look Magic and Pokemon, they both follow a similar idea, but in the gameplay they are completly different. I for my game got inspired by balatro, with the feel of the game, but if you play it you are going to see that it has nothing to do with my game, Because its his own thing.
Im sure that you didnt want this to be the case, but unfortunatly it is. I hope that for your next games, you can better understand the difference, between inspiring and copying
This said if this game has been done in the jams period, it's very impressive 👍, though for me it is not rateable
I checked your art, and the result is AI generation. On the internet is full of AI photos practically identical to your art, i found it with google lens. Plus i checked with multiple online software the legitimacy of the images, and what do i find? AI. If you think im lying this test can be done by anyone, so give it a try 😁
bruh, ever played balatro? i don't think so. is there poker? Combinations of Cards??? something like a joker?? is there a similar mechanic? no it's like saying that pokemon is a copy of poker! now, just so you know. i'm not going to say that your game is good and beautifull if it isn't. i will be honest. and if you can't take it, then that's a pity
you will never grow as a developer if you don't take criticism. i took a lot, and will proudly continue to do so. consider every comment, critique, and even insults as valuable and extremely precious therefore writing a comment after a rating is the most respectfull thing a developer can do, to help their fellow jammers, learn from their mistake.
I expect you to do the same to my game, and to many others, this is true respect
i didn't understand clearly my objective, and how the game works. the graphics is fine, and overall an interesting idea. but i have one big critique about this game THE THEME!!! the whole point of a game jam is to follow a theme, and the reason why is very important. it's to avoid people making a game before the jam! if you are saying that you don't want to follow this theme because of "creative discoveries" you are not only denying the point of the jam, but you are activley breaking not a loop but the rules.
I'm sorry, but for me this cannot be rated :(
