This was a really well-thought-out concept with a great sense of humor! I definitely caught myself smiling a few times at the AI’s witty lines. The storyline was fun, and the idea itself felt unique for this jam.

I did have to read the comments and tips to figure out how to finish it, as I kept trying to reach the orb at the top—only to fly off the screen! It wasn’t until the end that I realized I just needed to walk all the way to the right. 😄

The controls felt good, and I liked the double jump. The spikes might have been a bit too sensitive, though.

The audio worked well, and the visuals were ok.

The theme was present—check!

All in all, a solid and well-thought-out jam entry! Great work! 🤖🎮✨

Love it. I'll admit, I had to go read the comments to figure out how to get to that pesky door. I kept thinking that I needed to walk overtop the map to get to it. Great thinking meshing the settings in with the game. It was very seamless. Very impressive implementing a save feature to the game. The tutorial voiceover is a nice touch as well. Well Done.

Really awesome concept! That narrator at the start is so annoying, but in the best way possible. Props to the creativity that went into this game. The art is good, but it's from an asset pack so it would be kind of cool to see some original art. The gameplay was super fun though, keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I would definitely try to make original art next time if I no longer bad at time management haha. Thats why in the submission page I did not declare Arts to be created by myself, and in the game page listed a link to the art resource I used.

Nice game, I think you took inspiration from a Godot tutorial I saw a while ago, but honestly you did much better, great work!

Developer

Thanks for the comment! May I ask what tutorial it is haha, would be cool to see how they did it. Idea and programming-wise at least, these are original from me.

Simple game with absolutely no bugs at all! The voice dialogs were a lot of fun, though I wish the game had more gameplay elements. However, I saw you were low on development time so that makes sense. I think it's got a cute gimmick and fits the theme very well, reminds me of Stanley's Parable with how you interact with the narrator.

It would be helpful to explain double jumps at the beginning. I also noticed that you can die very early without actually touching the spikes.

Other than that, this is a great interpretation of the theme and really, really funny! It’s unique and full of unexpected moments. The urge to reach the door again and again just because of the voice lines is fantastic. I loved the hints and was fascinated by the game. It gave me a bit of a ‘Portal’ feeling because of the hilarious dialogue.

You’ve done really well here, and I’d love to see more like this!

Bugs I found: If you leave the scene, the player flies to the top and is never seen again... At one point, I got stuck in the ground.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for the feedback! One workaround for flying to the top is to press the Setting button, go back to the menu page, then resume the tutorial. A workaround for stuck in the ground is probably just press Jump to get out of it. Haha I definitely need to work better on the ceilling and ground detection, thanks for pointing those out!

Submitted(+1)

Yes, these workarounds I used and they also worked ;D Just wanted to mention those bugs as I hope you consider getting rid of them and refine your game :)

Hi. This game is so much fun, but I'm completely stuck and can't get by the (final?) level :(

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment! If you are still in the tutorial level loop, try reading the Notes in the menu page for a hint :). and/or just head straight to the right.

Submitted(+1)

Thanks! I forgot about the notes. I'll go do that.

Got it thank you <3. This was a fun game. I liked the ending. It would be cool if you were able to think of a sequel to this.

Nicely done with the theme! The controls felt good. It was difficult but felt fair.

really fun, enjoyed it!

I love when breaking the game becomes part of the game itself. At first I got a bit confused, but then I understood what had to be done to pass the most glitched stage (I first went though the roof way and got stuck).

I like the cliffhanger, are you planning to expand it to a 3d game? That would be SO nice.

Developer(+1)

Haha, thanks so much for the comment. Glad you had fun finishing it! If I can come up with another game idea for the 3d version, then it is definitely within the possibility.

Wow you captured the theme perfectly in a narrative sense. The way the level slowly degenerates is a idea that matches the narrative and ramps up the difficulty. I think the spikes have a slightly too big a hitbox and the double jump isn't actually explained but otherwise pretty clean execution. Good work!

Very nice.

Took me a while to figure out what was going on, but then I got it! Great experience.
