Really fun and cute little game, good job!

It was a nice little game.

It would've been helpful of diagonal movement was supported to get to weeds more quickly. Also sometimes it looked like you could go between stones when you actually couldn't

It is enjoyable how simple the game is.

I expected to see weeds growing around other weeds which could cause exponential growth (out of control explosion of weeds), instead they appear randomly on the screen without much change in the frequency.

There is no use for the mouse at. Having [SPACE] or another key for cutting seems a better choice.

The art and music give me nostalgia of more simpler times :)

Nice game! The art and music is appealing and simple, and the game has interesting mechanics to it too! Not really sure how its linked to the theme but nice job for something made in a 48 hour jam. :)

Hey there! Congrats on your first jam guys!
The game feels a bit simple/standard, but everything that's there is so solid I can hardly fault it.

Very good job and hope to see what you 2 will do in next years Jam

Great game! The graphics and audio have a good amount of polish which I must commend you for. I think it could definitely be improved if you added maybe a few more mechanics (maybe a couple new power-ups or something) as the game seemed to drag on a bit at the end, that's just a nitpick though. Overall, it was really fun. Good Job!

This game was pretty fun! I feel like having a lose condition would make things more interesting, because then you can't just always go towards the closest one and actually have to cover the whole stage, but it worked really well! At one point an X spawned, then later some boots spawned, and when I picked up the boots it collected the X, so that may be some glitch to look into. I also never saw the scythe, but that might just be rng. All-in-all, a nice and hectic arcade-y game (although could be even more hectic with more stakes).

Thank you for playing our game! We really appreciate your opinion. We have been already reported that bug before and we are investigating on it. Will be fixed in a future update.

Very creative, really liked the music, name choice and logo design with the scythe. Nice Job :)

Very nice pixel art and music.  The power-ups add a nice change of pace.  Good use of the theme.  I do wish you could move diagonally.  Great job.

Pretty fun game. Lovely pixel art and the sound effects are on point. Wish there was an UI indicator for remaining time on power-ups though.

Fun game! the gardener looks like a war veteran lol

Cute style and a challenging game to try and beat your high scores, a nice entry, good job! :)

Really enjoyed the art. I can tell that a great effort was put into making it. Good job.

Pretty fun to play for a while, but you should think about what you're aiming for with your game, as currently it feels pretty empty and repetetive. Any kind of obstacles or enemies could be an improvement, or maybe instead of "multiple levels" you could add time for cutting the weed and give some penalty for missing it, then make movement more crazy to really make player feel out of control - because there's no real connection with the theme.

Nice game! Nice theme and hope to see how you evolve the game further

Submitted(+1)

This is fun! It's a bit of a shame that it doesn't seem like you can move diagonally, which was frustrating. But that may just be a bug on the WebGL version? Not sure. Nice job, either way!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing our game! The diagonal movement wasn't implemented to give more a sense of "out of control". But we will add it in future

Got it. I'm excited to see what you come up with in future updates! We'd love your feedback on our game as well, if you haven't done so already. SpaceBus

Games fit the theme, although I would say I found it more tedious than fun, if I'my honest. It is original on the 'spread' side of the theme, you didn't go for the fire setting, although it's a bit the same thing .

Presentation is good, it a nice simple pixel art. The music is a fit and sfx are well used. Didn't find any bug, so overall good job on execution !

Great game, fun and charming! Maybe including some hazards could make the game more interesting

I enjoyed my time playing the game. I didn't have to guess what was the link to the theme, and I personally prefer games where you don't shoot stuff. 1200 score points for me on second try :)

The art is very readable which is always a plus.  Also, you included arrow controls redudant with WASD, and not having a wasd keyboard this is a really important good point for me.

Nice entry

It has a good aesthetic, and I like the animations of both the environment and the character. I feel like the idea fits the theme, but a few changes in the spawn rate would have made it get a little crazier after some time. Also, as some others have suggested, the controls could have improved by letting move in diagonal and let cut at the same time you move.
