I enjoyed the art and presentation of the game, especially the opening! Having every upgrade also come with a drawback was great. I did notice a few weird collision issues towards the end with invisible walls, and you could lock yourself in some of the rooms (don't think there's a key binding to restart levels?), but otherwise pretty good fun!

Pretty fun game! My poor lab didn't stand a chance, once I got the shotgun spread upgrade that lab was DONE for! This game has some good puzzles too, I found myself shooting buttons around corners, making sure I didn't blow myself up.

Rated!

Curse whoever invented tank controls haha. I like the idea of upgrading the weapon over time and I like the concept of this a lot, plus to kooky intro scene was great. Sadly on a laptop with a trackpad this isn't easy to play.

We've got our first discussion on what we'll be fixing up in a couple of days!

Cool game! It's fun!

The level design here is cool, I like how there are some things you should shoot, like buttons, and others you shouldn't. Although, some of the buttons were hard to see, and I didn't notice my health bar until about five levels in. I think maybe the camera should've been zoomed in a little more, especially to see the awesome original art.

Speaking of which the art is nice, and although not all of the audio is original, I think the music is a great fit! Also the opening cutscene made me laugh out loud. Good job!

You're comment means a lot to me! The entire team put a lot of work into this and I'm glad you enjoyed your play through!

Nicely done! :) It took a little bit to get comfortable with the movement but I had fun traversing the level.

The game is fun, but I feel like some things were… buggy (invisible walls, timer not doing anything). Apart from that, I liked it. Good job !

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we noticed both of those things at the last minute. We actually thought that the walls had disappeared entirely. Thanks for playing even with the bugs!

Really nice game! Love the cards that you collect after each level, they feel random, are they? Or are they set? :)

Developer

They are completely random! Even the pairings are random! It's pretty rare for any two cards to be the same in a playthrough.
A little bonus feature is that the 'name' of each upgrade is actually generated by the game based on the two upgrades chosen!

I really like the game. The sounds, animation (including the first scene) and the graphic were really good. Also the idea of short history to add to make the theme fit was really good. For the staff that I would change it would be just having W as a controller because the player is moving toward the mouse. And I also like the shop :)

I got through the first level without doing too much damage and then I had to pick and upgrade and was like "Uh oh" Great idea to turn this on its head.

Hey there, cool game! :)

Only issue i've encountered is that the game tends to freeze after the first shot when loading a new level, after a few spread upgrades i actually crashed the game. x)

Other than that the game's smooth, good job!

Developer

hahaha whoops

Very good game! I love the tradeoff between upgrades/the amount of damage you cause, and that programmer-art cutscene at the beginning was a great addition.

Submitted(+2)

that's a very good game! the size of it is a little too big but overall that's Amazing!

Developer

Thanks a bunch! we had a lot of fun making it! The filesize may be mainly due to music and the mp4 video in the intro.

Cool idea! i love the short animation at the start lol :D

Developer(+1)

hahaha glad you like it!

Cool base idea for the game, same for the bonus you choose at end of level, which comes with a malus. But it would need some more time to make it cool. I guess not enough time to implement a lot of things (I was disappointed the giant dangerous barrels didn't explode when shot :p, but also no health, no timer, collision issues, etc...). Navigation was a bit painful too (I'm not a big fan of this kind of controls, and player can often be a little bit blocked by collision from environment.

Fun intro :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the critique. There was actually a health bar, but I guess it's a little hard to see lol.

Submitted(+2)

Cool intro, and thank you for making is skippable :D

The gameplay is simple but fun, and I really like the upgrade/downgrade mechanic, a really nice twist on the top-down shooter formula. Good job!

Nice intro, loved the 3d mug XD, a lot of cool mechanics, I got trapped inside the door aswell but the game is really fun.
