A well polished game with a cool mechanic. My only issue is that when one things go wrong, it pretty much all goes wrong. I think all enemies should be affected by that burst that happens when an enemy hits you.

Genius way of taking some control away, great work

There's nothing missing, nothing rushed about this game. It seems perfectly executed. Really impressive and inspiring!

Amazing game! Nice graphics with nice colors and fluid animation, easy to understand but with a good difficulty curve (the healing in each round makes it always fair). The fact that the dog pulls you in one direction and you aim in the opposite way works really well! Also it fits perfectly on the theme of the jam. Most importantly: The dogs are really cute! Great job!

Cool game! Not being able to control where you're aiming definitely added to the challenge. I loved the art!

This was fantastic! Really original idea executed perfectly!

This game is wonderful. It's fun and cute and looks and sounds great. It also fits the theme perfectly while working well as a game. I love the find your dog prelude/breaks.

Thank you for the nice comment on my game, but yours is the real deal!

Game feels so good - as a take on "movement/aiming is out of your control" this felt really good cause you could still influence it to a degree. And the dog was sooo good :D

Amazing art, game feel and polish, great submission!

Oh this was really cool! One of the most polished games of the jam I reckon. Lovely presentation all round and the gameplay gimmick is really interesting too. I love how the dog ends up influencing both where you move and where you aim, yet it still feels like you have enough control for it to not be frustrating. It's a great balance. Loved it!

Love the concept! Laughed out loud during the intro with the "wrong" dogs. Was confused at first how the aiming worked until I realized that wasn't in my hands at all! Focusing on "just" dodging and shooting kept me quite busy for the first levels though and once I finally felt like I figured things out, the difficulty ramped up and demolished me rather quickly - not without me bursting in laughter again though. Had a great time through and through, 5 stars in every category - this is how it's done! :)

Great job! Really liked the idea, the art and the controls were good. The monsters could walk on walls but that didn't got in the way of the experience. It got repetitive quick but with more time you can add new mobs and other challenges.

Amazing job! Game is really fun and later waves are quite challenging. I really liked the dog mechanic, crazy theme and pressing the CTRL made me laugh. Great entry!

Thanks a lot TondaFS! We are glad that you enjoyed it :D

everything about this game is perfect

Developer

No, you are perfect! You and your Slugs!

This is so well-polished. The controls feel great, and the dog yanking your aim away is such a neat twist. Great job!

Thank you so much Incredulous Interactive! Your feedback means a lot to us :D

Of course! :) We'd love your feedback on our game as well. SpaceBus

I played the game, felt satisfied, then saw I pressed CTRL 0 times. So I played again just to push the CTRL button! This is a wonderful looking game all around. The visuals and sound are top notch. Simple, fun premise expertly executed!

Hey MayorMcFrumples. First I need to say that your nickname is amazing. Second, thanks a lot for the kind words, it means so much for us! Gotta say my intention with the CTRL thing at the end was exactly this, I wanted the players to open the game again just to check it out and leave the game with a smile on the face HAHA

I really love the idea and the execution was perfect, art was a 5/5 for sure, I had alot fun playing. the small thing I can critic is that it got a lil bit boring around wave 6-7 since nothing new was introduced, just more ennemies. Petting the dog at the end of waves, the skulls falling, the dust effect when sliding were all great extras that made the game even better.

Great entry, wish you guys the best of luck!

Hey Walid! Thanks a lot for your feedback! I do agree with everything that you said, basically our scope was the biggest problem, we decided to prioritize the movement and the game feel instead of adding more content, which made us run out of time. I still think it was the right decision but we ended up with no progress at all, which sucks. After the rating period we will for sure add a bit more things to keep the game fun and engaging at least for a couple minutes :D

Submitted(+1)

We had exactly the same probleme, we only introduced 1 out of 3 main mechanics planned, one of the remaining two was fully implemented  in like the last hour before submission so we had no time for level design. We used amost the whole second day for game feel, juice..etc

Submitted(+2)

Man, that was hilarious even though I never had a dog nor a dog person (but that's probably irrelevant)

Developer(+1)

HAHA, my family had a huge dog when I was little, and the few times that I went to walk with him, it was exactly like this!

Looks so nice and polished! The skull permanence was a nice touch. At a moment, my character went out of bounds. Fortunately, it popped back into the arena.
The idea is kinda similar to ours, but I think this one feels much better. Check ours!
