remind me of a game "faker" used to play it, i love the concept and the idea behind it, Great Game!

I really liked the game. Very unique concept and I found the gameplay pretty enjoyable.  I wish we could have had a trajectory indicator and more control during airtime.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! Those were actually left out by choice, but I do understand that would make the game more accessible.

Good effort!

Great game!
But, please, add ballistics trajectory for convenient jumping experience.

Very nice idea. I like the timing element for jumping. I couldn't get past the single block platforms, but I will be back tomorrow, must try again. Great work.

This game is great! it's unique, it looks great, and it feels polished

Great Job!

Thank you!

very well done. This game is stylish and I like the skill-based element of the platforming.

The game is pretty interesting, however I had a strange issue where I somehow went inside a wall and couldn't get out.

Other than that, a solid game; nice job!

Developer

Thanks for letting me know. It's a problem with how collisions are handled on slopes. Fortunately, that should be the only spot in the game where that's possible.

Thanks for playing!

I didn't manage to reach the dog I kept falling down and got annoyed - but in a good way. I might come back later just to complete this one lol. The graphics are simple but effective. Nailed it with the theme. And although it could be considered a simple platformer it's done in a really interesting and fairly unique way. I enjoyed playing, even though I'm bad at it. Congrats!

Thank you for playing. I hope you get to beat it eventually!

Cool take on a platformer, quite creative. I think adding a meter to give you a visual on jump strength while holding the jump button would be really helpful, but otherwise great work

Thank you!

Super cool jump mechanic here! I love it! It's super difficult because I'm a terrible gamer but I love the thought you put into this. Plus, the old school vibe is gold 👍

Developer

Thank you!

I'm not one for rage games but I do appreciate the thought that went into the mechanics. I did crave some type of indicator that would allow me to judge the amount of jump force I was generating with my tiny legs but I don't know if the lack of one was a design choice that sprung forth from it being a rage game. Either way, Good work!

Developer

Thanks for playing! It was a design choice. It's not meant to add to the frustration as much as it is the skill you build up over time.

The Concept was really good, it even gave me ideas for my own game, leaving that aside I really liked the aesthetics as well!

Great style and creative take on the theme.  Nice job!

It was really fun, it got a lot harder on those last jumps.

Jumping game ;-). It was challenging to figure out how to jump as you thought it would go. In the end I manage to get 3 jumps correct before getting hungry. Maybe a tutorial level (small level to get the jump right) would be beneficial.

Cool pixel art!

Thank you!

I liked the blood mechanic ALOT! It was a really good addition to the classic Jumpking formula, very well done!

The art style is also very pleasant, I'm very fond of it and i think it fits perfectly.

The music choice is absolute torture on the human psyche, a very strong choice for a rage game!

Very good job!

Thanks for trying it out! This is my first time venturing into making my own pixel art, so I'm glad you liked it so much.

I liked this take on the theme so 5 stars there! I've never played as a flea before lol, and I just found it really novel that instead of collecting coins (typical of 2D platformers) that I'm collecting blood instead. I thought that the overall mechanic was really good too - the way your jump height is affected by how much blood you have, and how you basically cant jump without blood - especially when jumping is your only way of moving (typical of being a flea) -its really interesting and quite novel (I've never seen this mechanic in a game before). I cant decide if its too hard or not - I cant decide if it would be a good idea or not to have a power bar for your jump, or similar. I think the answer to that will depend on your target audience! This is a great kind of 'rage' game just as it is. It's the sort of game that you cant really master with one play. You have to play it multiple times to get the 'feeling' for the jump mechanic. Overall I'm a big fan of this so great work.

Developer

Thank you! I was having the same debate about the power bar in my head while making it. I'm glad you liked it.

Interesting idea. The game is tough. With some communication like how much power you are putting in versus a maximum would help with getting an idea on how high you can jump. I like that if you get too much currency (blood) that you can't jump as high. Good work.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. A mechanic that shows how much power you're putting into the jump is one of the things I went back and forth on in my head. I appreciate the feedback.
