Loved the retro arcade feel and the pixel art looked great. The aiming mechanic was cool. The asteroids could maybe take fewer hits to keep the pace up, or have more variety. Impressive polish for such a short dev time :) all worked well

Awesome game. Well done. Can make it a bit easier and was hoping for a boss fight. Unless there is one and I just suck at games. hahaha Great submission.
For sure, I really liked the 90s atmosphere in the game. How to balance game mechanics, like how fast can you shoot, how many shots it takes, it's a tricky thing I keep returning to as an idea. It will be interesting to see if anyone else drops in with thoughts on this. From my perspective though I didn't feel so engaged with shooting the same object multiple times, it's because the work to line up the cannon and shoot is done once and then clicking multiple times didn't give a lot more gameplay. I think the game pace would feel faster if things blew up with one hit, and if the space ships blowing up would blow up nearby targets too that would be a fun twist. I figure that would draw players to target them first which would hopefully make their game sessions last longer by killing enemies sooner, and would give players strategy decisions to make, like what is the best target available. Well, whatever you do next, feel free to drop a reply here if you update it and I'd be happy to give it a play as it's a fun game with interesting mechanics to explore :)
Lovely retro style side shooter. Amazing you did this in 48 hours, what an achievement!
I thought it was a good game and carefully made in a short period of time. The movement of the enemy characters is also very good.
Very good feeling game in such a short amount of time! I enjoyed playing this game, although earth did not survive :(
Unfortunate you lost your first game :( I wonder what it was going to be about?
Well done!
It's fairly straight-forward, but done very well. The graphics and "feel" are very cool and retro. This is one I'll probably come back to after the looking at other Jam entries.
Good game, I'm glad I'm not the only one who joined the jam late. It sucks that you lost the first project but if you managed to whip this up in 48h it's really well done so congratulations.
I liked the retro vibe and the aiming mechanic was cool and unexpected. Great work.
Once the enemy ships start shooting there is no coming back :D A nice little game.
Simple, solid, timeless. It really reminded me just a classic arcade game and I mean that as a compliment.
Great job, especially for 48 hrs worth of work. Sorry to read about your development woes!
Heh! Great fun. And such a short dev time - wonder what you could do with the full time!
The pixel art is polished and the gameplay feels good. Did a few runs my high score was around 48,000 i think 🚀🕹️ Good job in the little time you had left!
