I was using keyboard and mouse and I know you said that controller is better but I struggled where my mouse kept going off onto my second monitor so losing focus in the game making it very difficult to control. Sadly, I wasn't able to give it the attention it deserved. Looks beautiful though!

Developer(+1)

Try click full screen or tap the game window. I think the browser prevents proper mouse controls unless you intentionally click into the game window or go full screen (blue full screen button).

I didn't know that stealing could be this fun.
Great job on the game, it has potential and some further polishing would make it even greater.

Hi, good job! I really like the idea and audio.

I had some problem with rendering. Device is Mac M3 Pro and browser is Chrome.

Developer

Hi thank you for trying to play my game. I’m still trybig to figure it out. I believe it has to do with safari settings. Sometimes the Safari and WebGL v2 don’t mix. I’ll look into this further, Thank for your feedback!

Fun game, amazing sounds and music. I would suggest working a bit more on the camera as it feels a bit jittery/blurry which was a bit distracting

Developer

Thank you for playing! I’ll have to check that out. I guess I never noticed it. Thanks for the feedback!

Good Game ! had fun playing it

The game was very cute in style. I love the assets used. The audio ques were a great choice!

Love it! I actually made a thief game for my last jam! Excellent work though on using asset packs in cohesive way, I liked the overall look of your game a lot! Congrats!

Cool game. I liked the player detection from the enemies, and the chase mechanic. The enemies moved a lot faster than the player which added to the difficulty.

I thought the game could have used an end goal since after robbing the castle I just kept hiding. Maybe a timer and the player had to amass as much gold before the timer runs out. Also once I got caught it was near impossible to get back to undetected.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and for playing! These are really good suggestions!

That's a solid entry. Everything looks and feels like it should in jam game.

Looks good, sounds good and plays pretty well as well!

Nice game for the jam.

I will admit I struggled to escape the guards once noticed, but the gameplay is pretty fun otherwise.

Thanks for the game.

I quite enjoyed the aesthetics and audio!  I wasn't very good at the game, but fun little jam game.  Great job!

OMG I've been trying so hard to implement this exact Tilt-Shift in some of my games! I ended up giving up this go-round and just going orthographic and it still looked alright. How did you pull this off?! This looks great!

And I love the reactive music that changes when you are spotted/caught. This is wonderful, well done!

Developer(+1)

Yes! I thought it was impossible at first but apparently it depends on the camera distance and playing with certain values in Post Processing Depth of field . Try playing with parameters specifically Focal Length and Focal Distance. And Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Hmm, I've spent some time playing around with the Bokeh blur - depth of field settings and getting some interesting results, but I guess I just haven't quite found the right balance yet. I'll keep tinkering!

Fun game the only thing anoying is in some area by walking whole screen shaking. But overall very fun game and looks nice :)

Had a lot of fun- I created a video playtesting Tiny Thief and listing my thoughts. There is a section of the map that an NPC seems to get stuck, and the player can get caught out of bounds.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for playing my game, and also thank you for making a video!! This made me so happy to watch someone else play my game! So, I initially had mouse controls but they were bugged out in the browser. The “guards remembering you” was another bug. There were actually trigger zones like the castle where it’s considered trespassing, so guards automatically chase you. It worked sometimes but clearly was broken. I just uploaded a new build with the bugs fixed, I just removed the trigger zones and fixed the mouse controls! Thank you for your awesome feedback and well edited video!

Congrats on submitting your game! This was really fun! I loved the look of your game and had a lot of fun sneaking past guards and collecting loot. At times I wished I could get a bird's eye view to see a bit more of the map. Nice job!

Had a great time with Tiny Thief! The 3D visuals and atmosphere are awesome. Getting caught felt a bit unforgiving, maybe a way to hide or distract guards could help. Good job tho.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! This was a very common feedback, so I fixed it in the new build I uploaded! Apparently I thought I updated the guards movement speed, but now they’re  as it should be, except for two-three guards who can run faster. Just in case it gets too easy

Really nice game, love visuals and sound, everything looks consistent. A hiding mechanic could have added even more fun, but overall a great experience, thank you!

Submitted(+1)

Looks really nice. I agree with another poster, if there would be a way to shake off the guards would be even better. Still was fun though.

Great visuals and sound, good job being able to pull this off solo in such a short time!
