Super cool with a variety of challenges! I had a lot of fun! I also found the apple stash lol. Here are a few notes to hopefully help you:
1) For the first trial, I need a shadow or something to tell me where I am above. I thought I kept missing one of the jumps, but I learned after a few attempts that only a few of the boards are something I can walk on. Maybe an audio cue as well to let the player know that it is not a planform they can walk on? Or an animation to show the platform falling?
2) I didn't get a tutorial of controls, so that could be something important to add
3) Trial 5, the camera is too close and it is hard to look around. I could also jump over the walls
4) The falling platforms in #4 fell too quickly to run over, so I had to jump over, not sure if that is intended
5) A few times I could jump and land on something, but it would still play the falling animation
Super cool, fun game!
saw my score was a code - not sure where to use it - something in game?
Hi, thank you for playing and for detailed feedback!
1) The game was inspired by that challenge with glass panes from Squid Game. More player feedback would be better, true.
2) Controls are pretty straightforward and standard, and written under game description. I had an idea to do small intro section with story introduction and controls but had focused more on design and asset picking (oops)
3) Yeah, I wanted to do a first person view but forgot about it later (The most permanent solution is the temporary one :) ). The jumping over the walls thing, I did not find a way on how to fix it without making the walls higher.
4) That is intended
5) That is because those elements were not labeled as "Ground" so you would get stuck in falling animation. That way I prevent you from using environment to jump out of bounds or generally do something that was not intended. But the behaviour is wonky, true.
That is not a score but a code indeed. You are intended to input it somewhere in the hub. Small tip, each pillar that represents the level has a number on it ;)
Cool idea but the controls and camera are frustrating, otherwise the different zones are nice.
Thank you. I have used the third person controller and modified it slightly. Did not want to lose much time on making a custom controller, animations etc.
This was a fun little game! Great use of the assets!
And thanks for the 512!
Thank you! Hope you figured out what to do with that code (yes, that is a code).
Love those mini-games, nice meming about the Gamedev.TV. It generally feels polished and fun. Great work here! The only flaw I can think of is in the maze the camera being pushed around in the narrow space, which makes me dizzy. The maze would be a perfect one if this is a First person perspective game
I like the mix of several mini games, and the assets you used are great! Good work!
Thank you. I spent a lot of time on game and level design :)
Pretty good submission thank you for sharing your creation, some feedback the controls were abit sensitive but other than that good job!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Nice game idea.
The painted face was so funny, and the game play was nice.
I must say the mouse was kind of sensitive, but with further polishing it will be even better.
Thank you! I am aware of mouse sensitivity but I did not have enough time to do a settings page for such things.
I struggled with all those controls, as soon as there were jumping and sprinting I couldn't make it. Otherwise it's a good funny game !
Practice makes perfect :) Thank you!
ahahahahaha, laughed at the guys face painted on. fun game. Took me a second to realise the game wasnt bugged when I fell through and that I needed to work out the good route.
The controls were slightly over sensitive for my mouse when in full screen but I get we didnt get enough time for such tweaks and control in a Jam! good job on a fun and frustrating game. Going to keep playing
I must admit I did not have enough time to polish such things during the jam. I spend most of my time on overall design and picking the right audio assets. The stock model was missing some "character", so I had to flair it up a bit :D Thanks for playing, I hope you complete all the challenges to get the final reward!
its on my list to come back to and play more. hopefully i get to the end if my brain holds out and I can focus haha
Each level is unique with its own twist; you will hate some of them and enjoy the others :)
