Stopped at level 7’ish.
RTS with a blend of Factorio and Yorg.io 3.
The theme and story do not feel represented in the game, but this can become a seriously addictive game when polished!
The fundamental mechanics are solid, and anything added more will be value added.
The use if AI for the art was good as the artwork remained consistent. Also that each player is a different shape makes it stand out.
The audio selected for this game fits it really well.
This is an awesome technical demo to build from. I also think this game can become a great Godot course once multiplayer capabilities are added that is easily worth $50.
Thank you for the inspiration and 23 minutes of fun!
Ty very much for the detailed review. We wanted first to use soldiers and castles but then we would miss the theme like 1000% :D so we agreed on planets like tiny worlds.
The kind of game i have to play with a clock always in sight, i'm not sure i understood all of the tower mode mechanics but it's really engaging!
Great strategy game. Maybe need some indicator to know when is the next time we can change the mode of a tower.
I had a lot of fun with this game. I love strategy games like this. I think what I really would have liked is a restart button, and a visual indicator of some kind of what mode towers were in. Great job!
Deep gameplay that will keep you hooked for a while. Great choice of music and sound effects—it really shows strong, harmonious teamwork. Great work, everyone!
This was fun. I love taking over the world. Gets challenging quick!
Traditional game, well executed. I miss some innovation though.
The game was addicting and fun! I did find it frustrating though to not be able to reset when I knew it was already a losing game.
Took a second to get into the groove of the game but once I did, I quite enjoyed it. Simple game to play with enough complexity in choosing bases that will keep you playing. good work!
You had me hooked for almost an hour.
Love the idea, mechanics.
Music looping could have been left out.
In terms of theme for THIS jam, not to sure if it's suited, but I'm VERY happy I found this. Really enjoyed the game.
Very addictive game, well done.
Thanks! Really glad you enjoyed it 😊 As for the theme, fair point! Not sure if you caught the trailer? 😅 Could’ve made the link clearer.
Really cool mechanics, reminds me of a game I used to love back in the day with a similar node generation/capturing system.
Two critiques: Right-clicking the tower seemed to be very unreliable for pulling up the options on changing its mode. It would pop up several seconds later, or sometimes not at all.
And I would just absolutely love a "restart level" button. I ended up struggling with the second level too much and felt like the kind of start you get in that level is so crucial to how the rest of it plays out.
But great concept, and awesome job overall!
Thanks so much! Totally agree on both points, the right-click menu is clunky, and a restart button is a must. Really appreciate the feedback!
That was a bit difficult but it was fun!
I got destroyed! Great concept, I remember playing games like this decades ago! Great memories. Love the sound effects
Great mechanics and fun to play, really enjoyed the level of challenge slightly increasing each level but not too much of a jump each time
Nice game and quite challenging to beat on a first quick playthrough. Great to have some interesting choices to make, like the mode of each base. Mechanics are very simple and clear.
The map of this game reminds me of the strategy and map of Carrier Command from the 90s.
Great work!
My favorite so far, I lost to the AI :(
Thanks! Well it happens :)
I really liked the concept but I had trouble seeing if I had successfully engaged the target base. Also it took me a while to see the numbers of units on the base - its very small and with my eyesight, I just didn't spot it until I'd been playing a while!
Thanks for the feedback! Yep, we messed up the sizes. We had a few different iterations earlier and didn’t have enough time to polish it in the end.
Really clear instructions. Love the sounds.
Cool game, got my heart racing!
Thank you! We're glad you liked it! :)
This is a really cool concept and a lot of fun to play. With the music I found myself lost trying to advance levels. Great Game!
Thank you! We're glad you liked it! :)
Effective !
Easy to understand, and the visual is so cool. Well done
Thanks! :)
