The visual and sound design effectively convey the feeling of navigating inside a body, with the eerie soundscape adding to the atmosphere. The ship's destruction upon failure is a visually satisfying touch. While the game presents a challenge, it encourages repeated playthroughs. Overall, it's a well-executed and enjoyable game.

thanks for playing it

Hi! That's so cool that you drew an inspiration for this game from a movie! Really great for a theme! Game itself was kinda hard for me, wasn't able to beat it even once, but it is for sure looks nice!

Developer(+1)

It is possible to finish but the balancing is off, I need to do a small update for a small error, how much more time do you think you would need? I could easily add one more minute without upsetting anything else.

Submitted(+1)

It's not so about a time, but about damage! I can't seem to finish a game without stumbling on all the viruses and die!

Developer(+1)

ah I see, Damage reduction is an easy fix. I can also increase the health regeneration. General balancing really. Thanks for your help.

Happy to help! Looking forward to the next version!

I loved the Innerspace movie as a kid! Fun and well polished game! I wish that end-game guitar lick was playing throughout the gameplay, that’s a nice tune. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks for trying it, I will pass the message on to my friend Fender the guitarist,  he will be pleased.

I wanted to make music that sounded like you were inside the body, but I ran out of time so made the gameplay track a kind of eerie soundscape. I didn't want something too obnoxious while you were inside, that guitar lick kind of fit well with the whole "he died" thing :D

I really like how the ship falls apart when you die. Cool game!

Developer

Thanks for playing Tyler! it took a while to dial that effect in :D

Hey thanks for visiting our page. Great that we have similar ideas for the project! Just played your submission, loved the fact its made in Godot. I had a go with Godot and really like the engine. Your game was fun to play and seeing the bacteria / enemies starting out in the walls is yet another similarity. We were going to implement something similar but didn't have time before the end of the jam! Good job.

Developer

I have some frustrations with Godot but it is totally a me problem, I need to protype in it more often.

I think I’m going to have to follow a tutorial or something. This project got messy 😆

I like the idea and the little ship graphics. The pace is slow though, which takes away from the fun factor. Also, the dialog at the start would have been better without having to press any buttons.

you really got the hook in me with the narrative and the framing of the whole game (including the timer and the infection UI) - a LIFE was at stakes. my patient died both times though ;-(  there's this really classic cartoon called "Once Upon a Time... Life" and your game brought the vibe of that!

Developer

It is probably for the best that you killed him, I just discovered a spelling mistake in the win screen :D

Originally there was an RPG style dialog between the doctor and patient, I had to cut it due to time constraints, so I went with a real whistle stop tour of help him or else!

Thanks for playing it!

it is polished and mostly well done, the movement feels good (in the intended spacey way), the shooting and hitting feels good, all is solid. The sound design also brilliant except the booster sound, a sound that will mostly be played should be more ambient, quiet and less noisy. However, the balancing is not great. I found the game too tough and unfortunately wasn’t able to finish Other than the balance, it is a solid game, great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing.

I can't disagree with the balance and thruster sound, Sound is something I really need to focus on, I discovered late in the project that I don't understand the nodes :D

Fun challenging game, one of the few I've played multiple times. Great sound. Well done people :-)

Developer

Thank you!

That was fun, we did a similar concept.  I like that you can just play in browser.  The Pew Pew sound is awesome!

Developer

Thanks for playing, which submission was you involved with, for some reason it isn't linked to your profile, I would like to play it if I haven't already.

Wow that a was a tough one! Great idea and concept. Do wish I had some reverse boosters on my rocket thought

Developer

Thanks for giving it a go, I was torn with the control method, I originally wanted it to be a twin stick style game, it played really weirdly, I may look at more control (reverse, side to side, more weapons etc) if I revisit the project.

Very polished and intuitive little game.  I found it challenging but in a good way, I felt I wanted another try after getting destroyed.  Nice graphics and love the lighting.  Very interesting and novel back story.

Submitted(+1)

Love the theme (Great Minds Think Alike), gameplay is solid. Good Job :)

Submitted(+1)

Wow what a fun game! I loved the sound effects. The lighting was a really good choice to really give that closed in feel.

Thank you for including controller support!  I liked the "pew pew" sound of the laser.  Death animation was a really nice touch!  The atmospheric music was a perfect fit.  I also liked how I could die before even starting by refusing treatment lol.  Serves me right I guess.

Submitted(+1)

Very challenging, but I like the light mechanic. It's cool to shoot down the tunnel and use the light from the pellets to scope enemies. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for trying it out! I have never used lights before so it was a fun mechanic to play around with.

Random bones was a really nice addition! Also liked when the spaceship falls apart when loosing. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for trying it! I went though a few different death and that one felt the most fun!

Nice game. I like the theme. It was quite hard to aim accurately and i didnt understand what the infection bar was but in general really nice game. good job

Developer

Thank you Tim, once you get the bar down the patient is cured and you win!
