really well designed everything felt fluid good work.
Thank you :-)
Great game! I love the smooth controls. 👌 Great job!
Thank you :-)
The game is fun, the graphics are beautiful, and the music matches the game. However, it feels a bit awkward as time goes by. Maybe it's because I'm used to using the mouse to aim and shoot, so I feel like I can't hit.
Thank you for the feedback! Many others have suggested upgrades to the firing system which I think would improve the experience
The game-feel is top notch, the SFX contributes a lot to that I think - love the addition of voice-over, and the intro tutorial was a great touch as I think I would've felt lost without it - great work :)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the game and the little AI voice over :-)
Destroying asteroids is very satisfying, I watched a little of your dev logs and saw you had to scope back from what you initially wanted. I definitely know that feeling. Figuring out a manageable scope is one of the harder parts of game jams in my opinion. Whatever you decide, it always seems like more work than you think it's going to be at first. Anyway, I had fun with your game, good job!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the devlogs too! And yes it was a bit hairy the last couple of days, I didnt think I was going to have time to finish anything beyond just the basic shooting of the asteroids!
Love the overall game. I love the old starfield games types. Maybe make it for mobile game? I would love to see this on the google store
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the game :-)
The presentation of this game is great !
It's always a treat to see these kind of starfields in the background of games !
Thank you, I actually spent an entire day working on an infinite scrolling system for the space - you can actually fly anywhere infinitely, despite the planets being in a fixed location!
Simple, but very polished
Great game! Loved the graphics and the ship control was very nice!
This is a very good game. I like the graphics, and the choice of music and sound effects is also well done. The spaceship controls very well and it responds instantly. It would be a good addition if you could abort the shield generation to fly away when an asteroid is approaching. This game has turned out really well, great work.
Thank you, yes a couple of people have mentioned that the asteroids can disturb the shield generation! That's a bug really :-) I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome game, really well done and felt great to play :D I loved that you used voice over credits, I haven't seen that before. Also really awesome that you have been dev-logging during the jam, it has been quite interesting to follow along
Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and the devlogs too! I wasn't sure if anyone would listen to the credits, so thank you :-)
That's retro fun with updated graphics. Need my Atari Joystick!
Wow what a cool little game, I love the rocks looks like cheese
haha yes they do look a bit like cheese lol! I got those from Craftpix :-D
Love these type of games. Great artwork and enjoyable gameplay. My only feedback would be to add a visual clue when your ship gets damaged such as a shield effect or even blink the ship sprite red. Good job!
Thank you for playing! I've had lots of requests for a low shields indicator!
Great game, feels super polished! Really enjoyed checking in on your devlogs during the jam so great to see this get finished!
Oh that's great, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and the devlogs!
Very cool controls, it is a very intuitive take on the Asteroids controls and actually very rewarding. I enjoyed it a lot. It feels very repetitive, I constantly expected something to happen that makes the game harder, but in the end I saved all planets :-)
hehe yeah it needs a little something extra, like some enemies to battle or something! Thanks for playing it all the way through :-)
Great game! It was fun and engaging. I really appreciated how the mechanics were explained at the start, making it easy to get into. The gameplay, art, and overall design are all exceptionally well-polished.
Thank you for the kind words :-) I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great game and brings back those arcade nostalgia vibes. Impressive entry to the jam. I would say it could do with drift on the spaceship (like the old asteroids) as that makes the navigation a bit harder and more skill related. Overall great entry!
I did actually have that in the beginning but I found it too hard to control so I made it easier and perhaps I overdid it! Thanks for the feedback :-)
I'm very impressed this is your first game.
Oh it's not my first game, it's my 4th! It's my first jam game :-)
This is a nice game.
The way everything has been integrated has been done really well and there are a lot of subtle things that have been done to make the game look and feel fun to play.
The only thing I could add is maybe adding in an arcade style mode where you are timed, or have a time limit, between rescuing each planet otherwise you could just sit there and keep racking up points.
Thanks for the game!
Thank you for the kind comments :-) Thats a great idea on the arcade style as currently, the scoring really is a little redundant!
