It seems like a simple game, but unexpectedly enjoyable. When I come across such well-made, enjoyable games or pixel art pictures, I immediately want to try making a game in the pixel art style myself.

- Oh this was so good and so frustrating in equal measure! Such a brilliant concept, too - the way the power-ups speed towards the player adds a whole other dimension to factor in when timing dropping them. Visually it was brilliant and I loved the music and effects. Solid, polished, mostly on-theme and unique. I feel like a nice player affordance would be for you to drop a 'marker' at the top when you use a power-up, like a ghost-marker, so you can see it on your next playthrough. I appreciate that may make the game easier, but believe me, by level 5 I really needed it! :)

Love this entry!
the description says it was made for gamedevjs 2023. did you mean 2024?
such a nice and cozy game! The art style and music fit well. Great Job!
Cool game! Impressive and innovative idea. The overall gameplay experience feels like a mix of puzzle and action games. Even though I'm not skilled in action game, I still find myself wanting to try again and again! Additionally, the 1-bit art style is fantastic. Well done!!
Fun game! Definitely unique - felt like an auotbattler/puzzle platformer. Difficulty was well-managed, getting to 10 was tough! A few things I might change:
I liked the graphics but there could have been some more animations/fx/colour changes, maybe to highlight which power is active (1-bit really shines because of how easy it is to change)
The music was good but didnāt really fit with the aesthetics - I would also have added some random pitch/tone variation when dropping the powerups
Thanks a lot for playing and the constructive feedback. Art is not my strongest thing, so I tried to keep it this time very simple with a 1 bit asset pack. I experimented a bit with color, but left it then out for this jam. When I composed the music I also had the feeling that it does not really fit the game, but due to time restrictions I had no other choice than just take the first thing which came out of my guitar :). However, it seems to be a bit controversial topic, as some people liked the music quite well. I am more on your side, some 8 bit music would have probably been much better. Thanks for the hint with the random pitch/tone.
I love seeing more and more Phaser games! I really enjoyed your game! The concept of feeding the player with powerups is new to me and your implementation is very well executed! I died a lot at the beginning until I got the hang of it. I will definitely come back to this for more attempts! Well done!
Thanks a lot for the feedback. Yes, balancing the game after I have done a lot of play testing and getting good at it is always a difficult thing :). I tought this time I made the first levels easy enough, but it looks like they need to be even simpler or I need to provide some hints to get the player through the first few levels.
The cover page is already a joy to read. I like how you enlisted your resources to make your game.
I also like the goofy music and the SE when the player pops.
The timing is a bit hard and thankfully the player gets a speed boost for the rocket.
I managed to get to Level 3 but I have to rate other games (oh well..)
Thanks a lot for taking the time and playing it! Agree that there are a lot of other great games to play and you cannot spend a lot of time playing every game. Happy you liked the music as I did the track by myself.
PS: Very cool you took the time to read the page :). I like to mention my tools I use, as it might help others in finding their new favorite tool :).
I absolutely clutched that last level. The visual style worked very well, and there was interesting core mechanics at play. 10/10 would play again.
I like that delayed delivery of the powerup, really challenging. The music is outstanding!
Good job!
really amazing game, great art and sound effects, what most i like that it's playable in phones, web games usually are for desktop, i ended up finishing it
The take on the theme is veeery clever! The gamplay is intresting and once you make the first couple of try to get the timing right become very fun but still challenging. Simple, but simplicity made right it's difficult to achieve. You menage to made it! Great work! Also love the retro art style!
It was difficult at first, but after getting the hang of the mechanic it became fun. I like how it get more and more difficult, and that we have to combine power-ups to complete certain stages. It was an aha-moment when I combined speed with jump to get past the hindrance. I completed all levels, and was satisfied, well done.
Thanks for playing and congrats you made it through :). Takes some practice. I am happy the time I invested to set the difficulty paid out. Just with the last two levels I am not so happy. Level 9 felt a bit more difficult than 10, but maybe it is just me.
Thanks for the nice feedback. Looking forward to play your game.
