Wow! what an innovative concept! I enjoyed the smooth gameplay and easy to grasp controls. I also love the synthwave music in the background.

Just to mention that I found myself sometimes off the screen while shooting, not being able to see where I was pointing to. Something that I think would be quite handy is allowing the player to run.

Appreciate the feedback and suggestions! We're hoping that when we fix the balancing and enemy issues there won't be as much of an urge to run, but it's definitely something we'll play around with. :) Glad you enjoyed it!

Golfing + demons + moon?  Yes, of course.  This  was an amusing mash-up.  I loved the sound effects and transitions from isometric to top down worked well.  Nice work.

If you like platformers, you might want to try our game.

Very nice golf simulation. I killed this demonic lord hahaha ! But I didn't kill any other demon because I discovered the right click only on the boss fight when I didn't see a ball !  I spent the rest of the game avoiding demons ^^ It was nice too !

very nice game, super innovative :)

The controls could be a little better, or maybe just better explained.. it is a bit difficult to understand at first. but once I got it the game was very fun!

Thanks a lot! :) We really wanted to get a proper mini tutorial completed, but due to time we unfortunately had to hope that people players could figure things out with just our control graphic. We're definitely working on that!

Holy cow this game is awesome. I LOVE the idea and the potential in this alone makes this one of my favorites so far.

A couple of ideas: I think the tension would be greatly increased if the monsters still moved while you were golfing. I found it too easy to dispatch of them before I started golfing which made it feel like two separate games almost. But if you combine them? Man... That would be something.

Contributing to that, I think it would be great if hitting the monsters with the balls was the main way of defeating them. Maybe the golf club stuns them/knocks them back and the golf balls finishes them off? Ugh, I'm drooling at how cool this idea is.

All of this is up to you, of course! I also really enjoyed the art. Thought it looked great.

One critique: For whatever reason I didn't feel like I was ready to move on to the next level when I HIT the goal with the ball, because to me, golf = ball in hole. I was more confused than anything that the path opened up once I hit it without actually sinking the putt. This is simply fixed with resetting the par count and some kind of better indicator that it's time to move on.

Overall, incredible job. You're getting high marks in my rating.

A couple things mentioned were things we had planned but didn't have time to flesh out properly, so we ended up having to keep some of those ideas more basic haha. Spent a lot of time trying to learn new stuff. Some other people have also mentioned letting enemies attack you while golfing, so that's definitely a change we need to make. 

Really like the idea about the golf ball and attacking. We were thinking of how to avoid people just spamming melee without making use of the other attacks and that seems like an easy but fun solution. We've also got some other ideas to make the combat a little more complex and help mesh it together better with the golfing side of things!

I wish the game was a little faster paced, but I like the mix of a golf game and a sort of beat em up. Nice and unique. The 3D art is good too. The boss with the suit is a nice touch! Good job!

Interesting take on the genre, I really liked it! The golfing was fun and then having to dodge and weave the enemies as you got to your ball was a really nice way of avoiding the downtime in between shots. Great idea!

I had a couple of issues while playing. Even with maximum zoom out, sometimes you can't see the hole and the player in the same frame. That got in the way of some bounce shots I was planning. And speaking of bounce shots, the uneven terrain made some bounce shots go in unexpected directions. Not sure if that was the intended design or a deliberate choice, but I really like doing bounce shots it makes me feel smart hahaha. Would be awesome if I could do them here more consistently.

The sound design and the artwork was really nice. The enemies were pretty cute so I didn't wanna hit them and the player 100% looks like a dad haha you got the dad vibe just right. Great game!

That's actually one of the main reasons we implemented the level preview and the aerial view, to kind of assist with planning shots without having to make the levels too small or too easy. Might still be worth zooming out the regular camera view further though or even scaling the level size down a tiny bit, we'll play around with that! Regarding the bounce shots, the colliders are actually all flat box colliders (despite the appearance being uneven) so we'll definitely have to look further into what's causing unexpected behaviour there. I have a couple ideas of what it might be, so hopefully it's an easy fix.

Really fun game, I liked the mix of a golf game and a fighting game, cool idea and wouldn't mind playing a more fleshed out version if you plan on developing it more. Only issue I had was on the last hole there were floating enemies but it really wasn't a big issue. Other than that, I had a really good time and the boss was fun to fight. Good work!

The mini-golf was a lot of fun although I wish it continued when I got to the boss.

I liked the mmmm every time I clicked the ‘e’.

Glad you enjoyed it, especially the fun little audio we added. Thanks! That's a neat idea for it to continue into the boss fight. We're still working on the game and adding the extras we didn't have time for, maybe we can try to add that too without making it overwhelming. :)

I didn't had the feeling that they were enemies. They were just walking around and didn't do anything to me. At one point a randomly hit one and that was when I realized they were enemies. I thought they would steal the ball or something.

Ahhhh I see, totally understand! We planned to properly tweak the little enemies' AI settings/give them more than just basic mechanics, but put it off for too long then real life happened. Definitely should have just made that a higher priority. Thanks again :)

Fun game, interesting music, and loved the ability to move the camera when aiming a shot- added complexity. If the graphics and the combat could be polished somewhat, this would be an interesting mix of both genres- as it is I kind of just run away from everything and ignore the demons entirely. Still fun to play, has a lot of interesting complexities. c:

Interesting idea! The golf mechanics were implemented well. I unfortunately lost my ball out of bounds via one of the later ramps and could not progress. I like the character animations.

Thanks for the feedback! This is unfortunately one of the bugs that appeared in the submission build.  Should be resolved in the next hour or so, depending on build time.

Unfortunately we found some small bugs after the submission deadline, that were not present in previous versions. Most are not game breaking, but do affect gameplay in some way. We'll be reviewing the list later tonight to see what we're allowed to fix without breaking any rules and hopefully put out an update at that time.
