Its great to see now younglings get into gamedev! Overall the game wasnt too bad! Audio was good and the visuals were also pretty decent. Great job!

The movement is good, it runs very well.  It's easier than it looks, and the trick obstacles concept is really interesting. Awesome job!

Nice little game that reminds me of Cat Mario. I suggest you improve the graphics a little, make the player not to drag. Also adjust sensitivity of controls. And you can add more challenges for longer gameplay! Good job!

Very nice for being your first game! Would be cool if you polished it a litle more.

Good, but very short game. I like the visuals and music, but you should work on it after the jam. However it's your first jam ever, so good job and keep it up!

Really nicely done! very cool little game, wouldve loved for the game to continue for a bit tho, it was very short lol

oh and btw just a little tip, ive noticed that when you walk the camera kinda glitches behind you. thats probably becuase you put it as a child of your character, so try to write a script that makes the camera follow you instead of that cuz it looks a bit glitchy when you move. just a little unity tip lmao

Developer

Thanks, for the feedback, I actually wrote a script for the camera movement, maybe it just needs more improvement.

Good job for your first game :) a collab with an artist could be great!

Great effort, certainly for your first game! A few varied mechanics in a short space, well executed. Good job!

Well done!

Really nice short-and sweet troll game, it would have been a bit better if the world had some art to it; like some simple pixel art for the ground/walls and maybe some sort of parallaxed background. But the controls were pretty good, and responsive- pretty alright for a first game

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I made some pixel art for the ground but for some reason if i made it into a material it turned invisible...

This is a fun little game! Reminds me of those troll games like I Wanna Be The Guy or CatMario, and I like that very much. It's very impressive, considering it's your first game, where the game has surprisingly smooth movement and few issues. The only issue I've encountered was the spike that falls on you never respawned once triggered. I really see potential in you, and I am looking forward to what you'll be able to achieve in the future!

For some recommendations, I'd say you should make both the tileset and the background look a bit better. Currently, it's the default Unity blue, but something simple as the background seen on the game's thumbnail would definitely elevate the game a lot. Also, consider learning about parallaxing background, which is a cool yet easy way to make excellent backgrounds. You should also try to provide a story to the game, something as simple as a slide, or complex stuff like environmental storytelling would do.

Anyway, I hope you are having fun making this game and keep on making games! Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you for this awesome feedback! I'm glad that you enjoyed my game!

It's a good start for your first game. Good luck to your future path as game dev, and never give up!!!

Really fun game. I love the trolls, I think I fell for each one of them and they had me laughing the whole time I played. I think the game controls well and is fun to play. I would've liked a bit more content as it's pretty short, but I get that it's hard to add a lot in a 1 week jam. Incredibly impressive work for a 13 year old, this is so much cooler than anything I did at that age. Keep up the good work, I'm excited to see what you make in the future!

Developer

Thank you so much! I get that you think the game is really short, I do aswell... But I spend a lot of time of the jam familiarizing myself with the unity editor cause this was my first ever game.

The final part of the game was well made! Congrats!

I love the action-packed, upbeat music as my player was on a platforming journey. This game feels like one of those trial and error type games where it feels as if everything will go wrong and when it's done going wrong, then everything starts to feel that nothing can go wrong. Although, that large white thing that is slowly falling down slowed me down a lot and I had to wait for that to finish coming down until I could retry and reach the end, which I ultimately did.

Very good game especially for the first game you made. Had a lot of fun playing the game. Keep it up!

Very nice, I laughed out loud a couple times. Look into polishing the players movement a little. Cool idea, keep it up!
