Was thinking of a cool down, a "mana bar" is probably the better way to go though, good idea!

Really neat and fun game, after getting a lil used to it I had fun. And the animation at the beginning was great!

Thanks! Yeah I wanted to add some more content but had to cut it. I had an entire proper upgrade system planned with different ship models, more abilities (like dropping bombs). Sucks I didn't get to add any of that, I also had boss enemies planned, I just had to go with infinite shooter to make the submission time

Thanks for playing! Could you explain the stiff movement? Like was it cause of the ship always moving towards the mouse and being a little finicky or something else, I'd like some in-depth on that so I can possibly fix it after the jam :D

Yeah I was going for 8-Bit, even limited myself to strictly a like 26 color pallet. Mostly so it was quicker since I didn't have much time, but also because I wanted to make sone arcadey style game. Thanks for playing it!

Thanks, yeah I had more enemies planned but I just ran out of time (I started the jam really late lol, like I think 8 hours or so before the deadline to submit was over). Sucks though, cause I had some boss type enemies I wanted to bring in

Thanks, I had a bit more planned but just couldn't make it in time. I had quite a bit of fun with your game too!

Uh no? I made the assets, I have the blend files.

I'll have to check on your game when I wake up, as it's late for me right now. But I'll be sure to rate and comment

Really addicting, and I love the art style!

Thanks for playing! Yeah I would have liked to toss some more enemies in but I joined the jam about 6 hours before submissions ended XD, really had to rush myself. I actually had a lot of stuff I wanted to do, just couldn't fit it into 6 hours of work time

I liked the simplicity of this, it was a nice chill game. It took a little bit to get used to the aiming, but after that it was nice and fun. I like it, keep up the good work!

This was pretty addicting, good job!

(1 edit)

Its cute, I had some fun playing it!

Had some fun with this one, felt nice and flashy. Kind of addicting lol

Neat little game, really nice looking too, I enjoyed it!

Really liked the feel and look of this game, and I love frogs so that's a plus. Really fun figuring out the perfect way to send your frog to get to the next lillypad

I'll get to your game once I get back home, since I'm just on mobile right now

Upgrading was broken and I didn't realize it 🤣, it's supposed to increase your health and damage, while also making the game harder over time. Right now? It just makes the game harder-ish over time. I really rushed myself since I did the game in 6 hours🤣🤣

Heya, I've just about rated every submission here, 19 more to go- I'd like to get some feedback and rating on my game, just drop a comment and I'll rate it (or tell you if I already rated it!). Good day everyone!

Neat tower defense style game, rated it!

Thanks! Yeah I entered the jam like 8 hours before the deadline 🤣 so I had to whip something up in that time frame cause I misread "submissions end in 8 hours" for "submissions start in 8 hours". I actually already rated yours as well, was a really neat concept

Well that's odd, I'm not really sure what could be causing that since I decided to not use the Vulkan renderer so more people could play it- guess its Godot deciding to be temperamental XD. I'll have to find some solution to that with Godot; since I do plan to continue working on this game. Thanks for trying anyway!

Really nice short-and sweet troll game, it would have been a bit better if the world had some art to it; like some simple pixel art for the ground/walls and maybe some sort of parallaxed background. But the controls were pretty good, and responsive- pretty alright for a first game

I liked the puzzles for this; took me a few more tries than I'd like to admit, but it was fun to get through and pretty rewarding to defuse the bomb

Hey! I'll be checking yours out in a bit, here's ours if you wanna take a look: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13/rate/3344179

Hey! I'll be checking yours out in a bit, here's our game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13/rate/3344179

Hey! I took a look at the game and gave you some honest feedback; sorry for such a delay- I got busy and forgot about the Gamejam for a bit

Had a play, and I like the concept; Short-sweet and with a moral dilemma. Gameplay wise it was a bit slow with the progress bars; the time wasn't the issue its the lack of interaction- something like a little mini-game or something with a bar going back and forth, pressing "E" at the correct moment and getting some sort of boost in time would have made that just a bit better. Also for interacting with stuff, I figured it was "E" since that's pretty common place but it would have benefited with an action prompt above the intractable for more casual people. Overall it had a pretty captivating story, and I enjoyed the lonely-sort of creepy feel the game had

I played it and it was pretty neat! Thought the concept of having two different character controls, one that can move around but is limited- and one that can only move forward was really neat

Really cool game, the art is really cute. I sort of ran into the spikes right at the beginning a lot cause they were hard to see- but it was fun! I really liked the concept of only being able to move forward and finding ways around it (like with the moving platforms). Really think this could go somewhere!

Yeah, I really should have changed the camera before submitting; but I ran out of time XD

Thanks for the honest feedback! I have already begun moving this game-jam version to a proper full-game; since there are a LOT of ideas I had to scrap; one being the box throwing mechanic- that's why I didn't really bring it up in-game since it's useless in this version (and I kind of forgot it existed) it was going to be used for some puzzles you'd have to do to progress further in the levels (like as you mentioned using it on a button) but I shifted scope towards the end of the submissions deadline to be more of a "speed running platformer". There are so many things I would have liked to change like the camera (which I've already changed in the newer version) it's really annoying in a lot of tighter levels (so the later levels are somewhat more suited for the camera, but it still has it's issues). As for death animations; I was strapped for time by the point I started implementing animations- I had fall death animations, squished animations, shock animations; I just didn't implement them XD. Heck there's even a variants for holding/not-holding the box that I just never got in. Anyway, thank you for the feedback!

Pretty interesting story, I'm still working on getting any other endings (I got ending 1). But I found it pretty intriguing

Hey here's our game!

Here's ours, we'd love feedback!

Really interesting game, I had fun! Really nice sprite work, really snappy/tight game-play too

Thank you! Yeah I tried to give it some difficulty- glad it was a bit difficult
