How does the game fit the theme?
The player is given a simple task: follow the path, nothing can go wrong. However, should they choose to disobey, they must face the consequences.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
A couple of sound effects are from: Ovani Sound, Kenney, and Pixabay

Really cool, well made horror! Love that there are different endings aswell.
As many other said, the narrator is really great, I love it.
I'm bad with horror but it's a really great idea and experience. There's this chilly atmosphere and at the same time the narrator's indications are messing with you like in Standley Parable. Suprisingly, the thing that scared me the most was the arms of my character suddenly appearing when I first moved xD
All in all, well done to the team, it's great for a jam game.
Cool game! I liked the mix of Stanley Parable and Slenderman-type of game.
Liked the VA and Visuals the best. Its cool theres multiple endings and the all round feeling was well made.
Really interesting concept! I like the multiple endings and that you can actually just go home (you would miss out on a lot though). I am not sure if not going on the path actually has a different ending than just dying (lore would be cool I suppose).
Great job!
Amazing game. I love that style. Also thought about narrator back in days, but we refused that idea it the end.
Not about us, loving that "What if Stanley parable was a horror" game. The visuals and sound may be a bit better not losing the atmosphere, but the game overall is more than amazing. And how the Greatest Narrator That Ever Lived said:
"Nothing Went Wrong.
See?"
Thx for the game.
Nice homage to The Stanley Parable.
Should something happen if I follow the path without going into the forest?
Super funny and charming experience. Reminds me a lot of my own submission, with the flashlight, the batteries, and the player placing themselves in a dangerous situation that could've been easily avoided. Both projects offer different endings wherein the player simply doesn't do the stupid thing and goes home safe. Good stuff. Great minds think alike, you know ;3
It's nearly 2 AM as of typing this and I'm a big baby when it comes to anything horror related. Upbeat narrator voice soothed me as I walked through the darkness expecting a fat jumpscare lmao, big fan of the obvious Stanley Parable allusions as mentioned by other people, fun experience
Someone is definitely a fan of The Stanley Parable... It’s impressive how you mixed that style of game with horror, but you pulled it off really well! It’s also very polished and bug-free. The humor had that Stanley Parable feel too, which was great. Hope you keep working on the project after the jam and turn it into something a bit more complete!
10/10. I'm the best at following instructions and nothing went wrong. I'm gonna play this more because it gives me some serious Stanley Parable vibes. Following!
AAAA that was scary!!
Loved the voice acting though ^_^ sorry voice actor sir I didn't quite follow your directions
Like in all horror movies, “There's someone howling in the dark basement. We should go check it out, making sure to ask, “Is someone there?”
scary and funny at the same time, I managed to go back home like a NORMAL HUMAN BEING at first XD, but once I finished the first or second ending perhaps, I thought what if I don't follow the path, what if I just screw you mr storyteller, I'm gonna go off script and there we go chase by a monster lol. It's a fun game, I really like the concept, it reminds me of The Stanley Parable.

This had me laughing! I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I will say that because there's a non-horror option, it's veeeeery easy for some scaredy-cat (me) to just not want to engage with the horror gameplay. I kinda wish I was forced into the horror gameplay as a challenge. Though I suppose that genuinely having nothing go wrong is great for fitting the theme! Overall, while I'm not too much of a horror guy, I thoroughly enjoyed both the funny and spooky tone, and I was definitely spooked by the jumpscare. Essentially, great presentation!
Great work, all. If you haven't already, we'd love it if you could check ours out too!
The mix between Slenderman and the Stanley Parable-esque narrator fit really well! I've not seen many combinations of horror and humor so that's a pretty original twist.
The ambience is great, the narration is great and I'm guessing made by a professional. The sound got me a bit confused, specially when the monster is chasing you (the bell sound is bad at determining distance, and the monster steps make no sound).
The biggest bug I found was that the flashlight beam seems to affect the monster arbitrarily. Perhaps the cone/raycast of the beam is tiny or offset, or maybe the monster's hitbox is smaller than it should be.
The disappearance of the path and the sparse use of notes as alternative guidance are cool mechanics and will probably scare more people than the monster itself.
Good job!
