What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I did everything! Which was a bad idea... I ended up with no time to study for the exams...

Fun game. My player did get stuck at one point. Movement was fun! Well done,

funny idea, the movement was so satifsying

very fun and innovative idea loved the game the clam mechanic was top notch

It's a good game, a little difficult, but I liked it🌸

I really like the idea of things that should kill you helping you. I could also see this being a really nice speedrunning game if you get the correct timings.

Overall very enjoyable :)

I really like the idea of the movement, although it needs some polishing, right now is pretty difficult to control, specially in walls. Appreciate that all visuals and music are done by you too, such a good work!

So the movement of the player needs some work because right now it does not feel very nice to move around. Also, you can just spam spacebar and you will always hit the orange bar. Still, the idea is pretty cool and I liked it.

Developer

That is one of the ways the theme is implemented. You cannot go wrong when hitting the orange bar, as it always registers. The idea is to time that boost to move around, but I will try to make that clearer after the jam to avoid these misunderstandings. Thank you for your feedback!

I was actually able to squeeze in some time to play while my kids were distracted.

This was awesome! I really like the gameplay, even though I used the web version. It was really nice, great job!

I'm glad you were still able to apreciate it even in that completely broken version!

Cool game! Was quite hard but still fun!

From a wacky idea to a wacky fun experience!
I'm pretty bad at games that require balancing movement like this but where there's failure there's always some laughs and a bit of fun which is exactly what I had.

I think the main thing you could really do from here if you wanted to develop it more is just expand on the ideas present and go wild with it.

Fun little game and hopefully your exams went well!

Great unique gameplay, do the levels repeat after 4 (or 5 i think)? the 6th pufferfish in the level select seemed to just lead to the first again and subsequently, the rest

Hope your exams turned out well tho

Developer

Yes the levels repeat, but with much less time, so that it is a new challenge

Such a unique idea! I loved the bouncy level select screen and how it just says drugs when I touched the fish lol.

I liked the game it's a pretty cool concept I've never seen before. I love the jumping in this game and feels nice to do. I got a time originally of around 2 minutes but then I got a time of 33 seconds on my second play through once I figured it out. The graphics look nice and the clams spitting you out was really fun! The drugs and pufferfish mechanics are all really enjoyable :)

The only issue I really see is that it's very easy to get stuck on walls and difficult to get unstuck from them sometimes. Something that's less of an issue and more of a preference would be to add more controls even just moving left and right I often felt like I had no control of the character and there wasn't much to do besides press button. Overall, I really liked the game, but I just wish there was more to it. for a game jam game, it's a pretty solid entry.

Developer

I’m sorry, but I don’t really understand what you mean by "got a time originally of around 2 minutes." Which level are you referring to?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Oh, it took me around 2 minutes to beat it from start to finish on the first level is what I was referring to. Sorry for the confusion!

It was pretty fun and a little bit hard) I like the visuals and music.  Awesome idea for a game!

Btw, i completed the game in 3 minutes

Developer

There isn't really an end to this game... But thanks!

Once I understood what was going on, the game was a fun enough time. Very simple, but the game naturally lent itself to being pretty funny. I like how everything easily flowed into on another!

Submitted(+1)

So ummm... I saw that little save file of yours, and uh

thought it'd be funny to mess around 😂

That aside - what a fun take on the concept! Felt like the game was constantly trolling itself. The gameplay was really fun and the mechanics are surprisingly varied for a jam game!

The only thing that bothered me was that I didn't have an option to directly continue to the next stage - but it is what it is, haha. Impressive enough as is!
