Merci !
Le rythme n'est pas aussi précis que dans un jeu de rythme au final donc il faut surtout éviter de taper les coussins péteurs.

Haha thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it and tried so hard to beat the best score ^^

No that's the weird part. I know I used Time.deltaTime and made sure everything was framerate-independant.

Although I agree with you, it must be that kind of issue.

Oh I'm confused, my best run was me doing literally the same thing as you.

I hope it's not a bug (but it probably is). If that's the case I'm really sorry :(

Thanks, seeing how much you try to beat the best time makes me really happy!

I acknowledge the different between 05,23 and 04,90 is still quite huge for a speedrun game. I just replayed and got 04,88 by taking all of the boxes, so I'm not sure how I could help you. I also tried not taking the third box at the beginning to get a speedboost but I think both options give a similar time. I hope it's not a PC issue, otherwise I'm really sorry!

I understand it can be quite frustrating, I think I beat sub 04,00 only thrice. Tell me if you manage to improve your time!

No sorry I don't have one. But I think I'll at least put the best score directly on the game's itch.io page and update it each time someone beats it.

Wow great job! It's not easy making such a short time.

If you're up for a challenge, the current world record (that I'm aware of) is 04,90 ;)

Haha that's nice!

It was fun making combos with a dash on the ground and bottles to go super fast!

Quite impressive for a game made in such a short time!

To be honest I didn't put much thought into the lore of the game, but it's basically the idea haha

Really fun and replayable one. Made me feel like a flipper ball. (18,44s)

Solid entry, I was a bit confused at first because I didn't know about the infinite shot, so I lost a lot of time in the second level.

But once I figured it out it became really fun! Well done! (300.19s)

Great one! I had fun trying to optimize my run by finding shortcuts.

The game was a bit difficult for me, so I only managed to finish the level once (18,44s).

The implementation of the theme is great too, I was taken aback when I learned that I had to do it all over again in reverse at the end! Great level design in such a short space!

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the speed of game!

It's true there could have been more levels, but I chose to focus on a single one to replay over and over.

In any case, thank you for your comment!

It seems like a really fun and past-paced experience, but the game crashes when I try to start any level.

Too bad because I really want to play that one...

Visually very appealing, simple to understand and quite addictive. It's a hard one to master!

Can't do better than 16 seconds. Good job!

I love the flow of the game! At first the gameplay can be a bit clunky, but learning to throw stuff to gain time is really satisfying, and makes for a quite unique farming experience.

Thank you for the compliment!

Hi!

This week-end I took part in the global game jam with a wonderful team of 7 people, and we had a blast during our development, so I wanted to share the result here ^^

Our game is called Slap King (hold your laugh or die trying). It's a rhythm game where you play as a king with a weak heart that is trying to hold his laughter to avoid having a heart attack.  To avoid that, slap your staff in rhythm!
It's about 3 minutes long, and was made in roughly 2 days. I hope you have fun playing ^^

You can play it here : https://antoine-foucault.itch.io/slap-king

Merci beaucoup !

Merci d'avoir joué et de tous ces retours !

Congrats for this short but highly enjoyable visual novel! I found the artistic direction especially effective!

Merci ! C'est vrai que ça se finit de manière plutôt abrupte, c'est une piste d'amélioration.

One of the most creative ideas I've seen in this jam!

The goal was not difficult to understand, although the first few times I thought I had to drop the items in the hole to give them to the player. Maybe having a visual indication of where the hand grabs the item could help with that.

Overall what the game really lacks is some audio, but the idea and the execution of this ideas were really well made. I loved having the manage the content of the bag, I can really see this idea being expanded to a full game, great job!

Thank you so much, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!

Thank you! You're the first one to tell me that the concept is creepy, and I guess that's true. This could have been terrifying with a more realistic art direction haha

I'm glad you enjoyed playing!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Nice entry, with very cute art!

I managed to pass the first level, but maybe some feedback that some tasks are completed would be helpful, especially for more difficult to understand tasks like "Bunny kills a dinosaur" or "Bunny befriends a dinosaur". Also I don't know if I pressed the wrong button but each time I wanted to restart building the level all my objects from the previous tests were removed from the level. It seems more intuitive to keep the objects at the same emplacements.

I like how you managed to make a game engine into a game by placing objects in it. Solid entry overall, with a great introduction and gorgeous art!

I love your game. The concept is simple but so hilarious and the execution is full of polish.

The animations are already cute and funny, but the bouncy physics of the ingredients makes it all the more fun! Well done, I finished all the levels and had a great time!

Merci Mattéo, ça fait plaisir à entendre !

That's so sweet and polished!

I love how well you explained the controls during the gameplay, it really help, and I didn't feel lost once thanks to that. The art is so cute (love the small bird on the fence) and the story really nice too!

I really love this one, well done!

Good take on Frogger, fits the theme. I hadn't seen a game like that yet!

I like how the road and the river require different ways of thinking, one where you stop the cars to let the frog move and the other where you can move the frog with the platforms directly.

As the previous comment pointed out, I also felt like it was really difficult to catch the bonus, so I didn't manage to test them out.

Still a great game, I had a fun time!

Thank you for your review, I'm glad you liked the SFX!

I agree with you on the theme, it's definitively one of the parts I could have done a bit better with, especially with that great of a theme that is "Roles Reversed". Thanks again for your comment!

Thanks for telling me! I thought I exported for both Mac and Windows, but totally didn't, my bad.

Sorry that you can't play because of that. I will update the itch.io page, thanks!

I love this one!

The way you need to handle the battles by managing both health, movement and approval at the same time makes a really fun action battle in my opinion.

Fantastic execution!

Definitively one of the best entries I've played so far!

I love the variety of minigames. The detective work afterwards was rather fun too. I played the game twice and it didn't feel right to lose if the detective makes a mistake when we were playing the phantom thief in the first part. Although I must admit I liked the detective a lot too!

Well done, love the HONK button!

I like the card system of your game, it made the twist of "You are the Enemy" quite unique gameplay-wise. It's really fun to try and think where to place our enemies as we see the player becoming stronger and stronger, only to be slayed at the end.

I also love the illustrations, well done for such a short time!
