Very impressive job! Congratulations! Liked this graphic style

This genuinely immersed me a LOT more than I thought! I had lots of fun with the many minigames and replayed it multiple times to try and leave cues for the detective to win, the whole game was really funny and well presented from beginning to end (shout out to the honk button xD). My only real complaint would be about the length of the sneaking part, but I think it's already been pointed out by someone else.
Overall, I was very engaged and mostly even forgot this was a jam game while playing. The visuals are great and the soundtrack slaps, by the way!
Amazing work! :D

Definitively one of the best entries I've played so far!

I love the variety of minigames. The detective work afterwards was rather fun too. I played the game twice and it didn't feel right to lose if the detective makes a mistake when we were playing the phantom thief in the first part. Although I must admit I liked the detective a lot too!

Well done, love the HONK button!

Great narrative-driven game! Enjoyed the variety of mini-games, and the presentation is definitely top notch.

I don't think it's well explained that you actually have to make mistakes in the 1st part of the game to have any clues, but on my subsequent replay I got it right.

Looking forward to seeing the post-jam build!

The game looks, sounds and feels amazing! The concept is brilliant and it's super polished. However punishing you for doing well on the first part, feels very frustrating. Not knowing which mini-games are failable and which aren't is also pretty annoying. I love the idea of the first half influencing the second, but doing well shouldn't turn the second half into a guessing game.

Besides that though, the game is fantastic! Super well made!

Looks amazing and is super polished.

Was surprised, because the game kind of promised a detective story, which is a rarity in a jam, but after I passed the thief parts, I ended the game with a horrified smile once I realized I couldn't get any leads during the detective parts, because I was such a good thief. I even tried to purposefully fail ALL of thief parts or some of them to see if that would change how the detective part plays (maybe you get some evidence that can help you solve the case) , but if I fail too much I get a game over, otherwise I get the same experience in the second half, so I guess there's no alternative paths.

I guess not all premises that are inverted have to result in an enjoyable player-targeted power fantasy, so that got a laugh out of me. The game still isn't fun though, especially the sneaking section, this part drags.

Ah, thank you for playing our game! Luckily, you actually can get evidence for the detective if you fail certain minigames in the thief section! It isn't super clear which minigames are fail-able and which ones have to be done correctly though, so we'll definitely be clarifying that for our post-jam build! Appreciate the feedback! Also, we're definitely making the sneaking section shorter in the updated build!

I half expected that after I failed the fence jump, there would be a human-shaped imprint on the ground or if you bump the fence it will bend strangely, but failing most QTEs is an instant fail and failing one of them doesn't change the outcome. This I think gave me the wrong idea and convinced me there were no alternative routes, especially since it's the first QTE section you get.

I think the underlying idea of the game could work if you couldn't fail the thief sections at all and you are allowed to just enjoy the carnage, Heavy Rain style. The game would then get appealing in a sort of Until Down way, where the goal is not to win, but poke and prod to see how the narrative will change and just enjoy the ride.

I appreciate your reply!

Developer

I see! That is a good suggestion! I'll keep that in mind for the updated build! Thanks again!

I really loved it! Great music too!

The art in this game is probably one of my favorites so far, and the quick time events were very fun. not much feedback I can give. I would love to see an extended version of this.

I really liked the mood and sound design of this game.

Great game. really engaging! I also ended up accusing a person by accident and had to replay the thief part, but at least it gave me gave another chance to read all the options for jumping over the fence :). The art is really nice and everything is very polished👍

I enjoyed the Phantom Thief bit so much!

Awesome game, the criminal part felt like a finished project! Unfortunately, I didn't see any clues in the detective part, which made it kinda boring/frustrating. But seriously, the criminal part was top-notch!

Developer

Ah yeah, the detective part is influenced by how well you did in the first part, so if you did subpar in some of the sections, it leaves clues behind for the second part. We definitely could've done better at hinting at that though 😅

I can't really even put this game in a genre because it combines minigames but ties it all together in its own thing

its like, henry stickmin++

I felt like the transition from the game being about the robber to being about the detective was kind of jarring. I was putting myself into the shoes of someone who made an adventure but then it changed to being more slow paced, and i admit that i stopped playing after i accused someone and then had to restart the game.
I think the detective part is just not be my thing which is fair, I think the game overall is really solid. It has fun vibes :D

Aaaaaa, thank you so much! There are a lot of things we wanted to polish up with the detective section, and we'll actually be releasing a post-jam build once the page is editable! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Huge fan of this, great concept and execution

VERY nice presentation. I also accused 1st suspect on accident because my first thought was that this will just start a dialogue, had to redo first part. I didn't get what I needed to do in second part, only clickable thing I found was the guard and suspects. Did I miss something or was that part not finished?

Developer

Thank you for playing! Ah, the second part of the game is actually affected by how well you do in the first part of the game! If you do really well, you don't leave behind any evidence, so as the detective, you have nothing to go off of! That's definitely something we could've telegraphed more clearly! Appreciate the feedback!

Was fun. I like the concept of playing opposite roles in a single game. There is always the part since you are playing both sides, you are incentivized to pick on side always.

One Gripe was that I kinda didn’t know that when you git the suspect name button you accuse them, and after failing restarted the game so I had to do the whole burglar part again.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Ah yes, that was on oversight I only thought of a solution for after the jam ended unfortunately (  T ^ T)
