How does the game fit the theme?
When you start farming, the landlord starts asking for more and more rent, crops get sick and at the end nothing goes as planned.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything was made by me except the skybox which also included the tree models

This game was nice, although it was a bit awkward to water the crops and i feel like they lost water a bit too quickly.

The controls are really sensitive and watering was a bit awkward but its an enjoyable game once you get into a flow!

I had fun! Could see this being great with a few more updates! Some things I think could be worked on
I liked the fact you could overwater the plants, made you be careful not to just overwater everything, you had to be mindful. Could definitely be expanded with renting bigger farms, more crops, even livestock. Looking forward to seeing it in the future!

What a great game! I had the run of my life, and then I forgot to pay rent.. :(( Would be nice with a warning indicator. But other than that, spot on!
There is a bug, if u have 2 packs of seeds, and uses one, you lose both..

Really good game, would be better (my opinion) if my carrots didn't die after I just figured out how to do things. Pretty relaxing (if you pay your rent), will play it in future too

I'm a big fan of both farming and FPS games, so your game is incredibly addictive. Offering an option to adjust mouse sensitivity would be a game changer. Great job!

My plants all got sick and got pretty sad that I couldn't heal them. Sorry to hear that you didn't have time to implement the fertilizer. The game feel is great! The song choice is fitting and I can see where you were going with this concept. The day timer not being in seconds gave me anxiety though, it's so fast! Otherwise, it feels very cozy and the controls were very intuitive and minecraft-like with the inventory scrolling.

I really like the concept and definitely feel the theme as someone who wants to do gardening IRL but is chronically afraid I'll just commit a mass plant homicide.
The controls feel a little wonky, moving around the camera feels like it's dragging behind which threw me off but not too bad to where I couldn't play.
I'd say the game runs into issues with work balance. The initial seeds I planted most of them died before I got to get watering done and they required so much water. Which I'm sure could be patched out with a quick balancing test later on if you wanted to update the game.
Sometimes the UI for water level wouldn't pop up so I couldn't tell where one was at; and the bucket would sometimes stop working until I switch tools.
Overall a nice game that could be even more fun with some balancing :)
Thank you for the feedback! I will definitively fix the balancing later, but issues with the bucket? I havent seen those at all. Maybe you just didnt aim precisely at the crops? Because that would also not show the UI.
I'll definitely give it another go later to see if I can reproduce it or if I was mistaken.
Base game concept is really well laid out with the tools, inventory, and buy/sell setups. Main issue I had was how water hungry the carrots were. I planted a lot in the beginning but I was not able to keep up with the water demand so most died. I was then stuck in a bad situation where I was doomed to not be able to pay rent because I ran out of carrot seeds :(. I think if you make the water requirements per plant not as harsh, this would be a great start to a farming game.
I also had a question about when plants get sick. What was I supposed to do? I tried watering them more, but that seemed to make it worse.
Overall, nice work putting together this little farming game.
Thank you for the feedback. Yeah I didn't have much time for playtesting at the end so unfortunately the game is pretty hard currently. For the sick plants I wanted to add a fertilizer that would heal them but didn't have time for that either so currently if the plants get sick they are just dead.
