I loved the idea you present in this game. I'd love to see a full game with this mechanic in it, maybe multiplayer?  I could see it work really well! Very solid jam entry!

Really cool idea! I've actually always wanted to make some sort of "Security" game where you set patrols and guards in certain locations to defend something. I was excited to see this! I think this was really neat and a great starting point to something like that. I was pretty happy playing it!

I did think it was a bit annoying that the guards view decreased each level. Felt like almost a punishment for winning. And by the last level the routes the thief's took seemed fairly random so it felt a bit up to chance. I'd think it would be more awesome if as you went through the levels, maybe you got different types of guards, or even just more guards that 2 would be nice! Then you can increase enemy count or where they come from, etc...

Besides my minor gripes though this is still really cool. Let me know if you ever make this into a more full version! Great work on this!!

Thanks!! I'm glad you like it :)   Yeah I agree! A better direction might have been to have been keep the original 2 guards view distance the same, and add in extra guards of different types. Then build the difficulty with smarter, faster, and a greater quantity of  enemies. Yeah and you also make a good point about the routes feeling random, i went a bit crazy with the nodes there, maybe if they rarely crossed lanes mid-path it'd feel less random. Lots to think about! Thanks for the comment!

Reverse stealth game. Honestly a genre unto itself. Would be interesting to see guards of varying degrees of discernment going against some dots using disguises. Could set up big Hitman style levels with your guys on the lookout for one particularly dangerous attacker. As it stands though, this is a really cool idea executed fairly well. Great work.

cheesable by drawing really small circles and turning the guards into windmills

even with the cheese it was challenging, fun and engaging, the graphics and music are very simple and fit super well. Would love to see development on it go further!!

Awesome idea!  Figuring out the best path for the guard to take is a nice puzzle.  Great work!

The concept is fantastic, and good execution. Well done!

This is very creative and  cool concept! The game feels like a prototype and there is nothing wrong with that considering that we are partecipating to a game jam. I really hope you will take this as a starting point to do something wonderful.

really fun concept, felt like i could have some strategy in the early levels but the final level felt a bit random to me!

Haven't seem many stealth games attempted in this jam. Very creative take on the theme, great work.

great game, feels a bit too easy though.

I really like the concept and had a lot of fun playing the game. :D I think it's a super creative use of the theme!

Great idea and you were able to execute it really well! I did find for the early levels i would just get the guards to look back and forth really fast but this quickly became a not viable strategy haha!

Very unique mechanic, great use of the theme

Wow this is so cool! I love the mechanic. Blown away by how well it works and genuinely enjoyed every minute of playing this game. Fantastic work.

it's even as good as the infiltration.

there are some detection and collision glitches.

Also, I'd like my defender to watch left right independant of the path so I dont have to make them zigzag... some noise detection and proxymity awarness would be great.

All in all, awesome, neat looking and fun game!

Very cool, and that last level was really tough. Good job! Reverse stealth seems like a tough thing to pull off.

That was great! I really liked the concept and the twist on the theme!

I really like the concept and how well it was executed. Sure, there is some RNG involved but it isn't really game breaking. Quite impressive for a 48 hour jam, great job!

This is a really neat concept! Coming up with the best path for the guards to follow was very fun and I have never seen a game before where you are making the patrol route. The pathfinding was a bit jank at times but it was still enjoyable and honestly more funny than frustrating. Great job overall!

Very fun! There's a bit of an issue where intruders the are too close to the guards don't get caught (to the point where they are pushing the guard out of their patrol while the guards are looking straight at them) but other than that it was very polished and challenging ^_^
