Thanks for playing. It's not a bug, I didn't want to fully recreate SMB, just use it as a refernece point as its such a familiar level we've all played many many times.
The ice modifier just messes with the physics of the ground. I had hoped to edit the sprites too to convey the ground was now icy but time was against me.

Appreciate the feedback though :)

Really cool take on the theme. Great work! :)

I love finding unique game ideas in jams, this is one of them. The art is fantastic, great job! :)

A unique entry and take on the theme. Loved it, great work! :)

Incredible presentation on this one, great work!

Awesome entry, very fun and great presentation. Immediately wanted to try and fly across the whole map like a rocket league pro. Great work! :)

Great little game with a simple gameplay loop. A few quality of life tweaks and you're on to a winner. Good work :)

I love that art style! Good work :)

I echo what others have said regarding that first level. That being said I think the concept is a great use of the theme and has potentail to be a great puzzle platfomrer

Very polished and well presented. I'd like to see an option to toggle off the screen tilt effect, it's a little dizzying. I did like the twist of buffing the enemies as well as yourself. Good work :)

Great presentation. The controls are a little tough but I guess that's the point! Great work :)

Excellent. One of my top rated games so far. Great use of the theme and reinterpretation of a classic game. Well done! :)

Awsome sprite work! love to see more pico 8 games :)

Love to see other pico-8 submissions! Very simple and intuitive gameplay loop that needs little to no explanation, great work :)

Fun speedrun challenge where every input matters. Nice entry :)

Simple gameplay loop, executed and presented perfectly. Just the type of thing I love to see in a game jam. Great submission, well done! :)

Nice and chill submission. Unfortunately all my customers have very expensive tastes and I couldn't afford to feed them! A way to recycle the customer pool would be nice to add. Good work though :)

I enjoyed this entry a lot, one of the more unique takes on the theme. With a little post jam polish this could be a fun little strategy game. Good work! :)

I love to see fellow pico-8 entries! Great sprite work, good job! :)

Very good entry to the jam. Really nice presentation. Great work! :)

Very cool idea and fun little idle game. The only thing missing is microtransactions to buy outfits for my Loopies!

Genuinely one of my favourites I've played so far. Ticks all the boxes for theme, creativity and fun. Great work! :)

Really fun idea, I saw a similar game recently about making omlettes. Can definitely see how this could be expanded to become a fun roguelike

Really cool submission, I liked it a lot. I'd maybe tone down the shooting sounds so the enemy hit sounds can shine though. Either way I thought it was cute. Great work! :)

Very unique submission, very chill and addictive. My Tetris brain kept looking for the rotate button.

Really great work :)

Thanks for checking out my game! I love the limitations of pico-8 for a game jam :)

Yes, I think I missed a trick by not letting players experience the modifiers for longer. Maybe I'll fix it post jam (he says every year and never updates his games)... :/

Yup! One of these days I'll schedule time for audio. I'm hoping next year's theme is "silence".

Thanks for playing! :)

Not sure what you mean. It's a totally original character and level design...

Very good point. The win/loss conditions probably deserved more attention than I had capacity for.

Thanks for playing, I appreciate the useful and valid feedback! :)

Great idea, fits the theme perfectly. Well done!

My first idea for the jam was also about fruit loops, glad to find fellow cereal enthusiats out there!

The game is great and beautifully presented! Really great entry :)

This is a cool interpretation of the theme. The chance of freedom seems to diminish very quickly but maybe thats just a meta commentary about how we'll never escape the 9 to 5 grind! Good work :)

This is a nice take on the theme. Haven't seen many puzzle games in the jam yet, so this was refreshing to play. Nice work! :)

Very cute and cosy game. The presentation is amazing!

Nice work, its not easy making a platformer in such a short space of time! : /

Love it. The bullets firing on the beat is the winner here, I would lean in to that, explain which upgrades fire on which beat, have a beat timer UI etc. Go  full Crytpt of the Necrodancer with it.

This is great! :)

This is a great take on the theme. I love the choice to make it dark and limit the vision, really makes you pay attention to your last loop! Great work, well done :)

Yeah, I agree, it's a litte (very!) rough around the edges. I immediately regretted my decision to try and make a platformer from scratch!

Thanks for the kind feedback though! :)

I'm not sure the meta commentary about the over fishing of our waters was intended, but I did feel a sense of guilt seeing the fish population decline as I scooped them all up. : (

Some music would have been nice to accompany the cosy fishing vibe.
