I had no idea what to do playing this game. The first time, I walked into a room, and then the door disappeared and I was stuck, and had to reset. The second time, I walked into the purple bubbles next to the stove, an image of what I think might've been pixel art fire (not certain, though) covered my screen and I couldn't do anything else. I assume that I might've been killed by fire, but there were no audio queues to support that, nor any way to reset, so I'm not sure.

I assume that things may have made more sense if I had played the [legally distinct inspiration material] before, but I haven't, so this game didn't feel very accessible to me.

Also, instead of the UI being a HUD, it seemed to be a 3D model that was locked in position relative to the camera. As such, it existed in the scene and could visibly clip into objects. It would've been nicer if it was either a 2D image on the screen, or, if you wanted to keep it 3D, it was always rendered in front to avoid clipping (much like how FPS games renderer held weapons).

As surreal and janky as The Glibbs is I can scarcely imagine how nonsensical it would be to those unfamiliar with the material it parodies. Thanks for giving it a try though.

I like the voiceover and sfx so much! Very fun game

I never realised how surreal it was to be a sim, haha! I enjoyed it a lot, and the sim noises were spot on. The lighting made it a little hard to navigate sometimes but that was only minor. The UI design was great hahaha!

Nice work on recreating the random chatter of the sims! i love that one point the character says DLC, it was a fun poke at EA

wonderful concept, would be great to see fleshed out more, like having to keep your bars up. I love the way the UI looks though

That certainly was one of the games of all time.

Haha wow that was such an incredibly accurate sims experience! I didn't realize it was The Sims at first, but when I did the gibberish talking was so so funny! Having the door delete from behind you was especially funny, I was expecting the same thing to happen to the diving board :P

The reverb on the voice kept me engrossed. Godspeed

I'm not sure what I just experienced, only that I enjoyed it. If this was a full trippy walking sim I would so buy it.

I am not sure what just happened to me. I have felt things. I enjoyed it.

The absolute strangeness of this was captivating. I want more.

Pretty sure I lost my sanity halfway through. Bow es a jamoo.

It teleports me into a room with nothing, can't interact with doors. On first view it was funny to see how many stats I'd have to manage. Interesting concept.

Developer

It's a rather grim reference to players of the Sims selling the doors to rooms, in effect locking characters in a room for as long as they live.

The voice over was hilarious! I will admit, i did not fully get the game, but since the idea is to be a sim, i think delivered! :D

Please do check out our little game as well!
