Very charming! Although I wish I could make dialogue scroll faster without the risk of accidentally hitting a response without reading through it. Could use a little something to change up the slight monotony, because it's kinda boring how players ask the same questions in the same order every time. Maybe you could make it so some of them ask different questions, or ask them with different phrasing, or just skip it entirely and accept the quest right away. Stuff like that to spice things up. Regardless, this game is quite nice!

Cool game! The art was well done and I like the premise. I wasn't exactly sure how my dialogue choices were received, but apparently I did well enough to not be immediately patched out.
Amazing idea and good execution! I saw some similar concept in this jam but your game has an impressive art style and novel compared to those. Also, I laughed when the NPC says he had a backache and just want to move around for a while. Really enjoyed it!
Wonderful work on this concept. The volume of dialogue is quite impressive. Might have been funny to see a character who constantly skips through your dialogue. Great work.
Great entry! It was interesting reading all the dialogue and I really enjoyed the art style. The whole game hit me with some nostalgia.
Definitely a novel idea, but far too much text to read through. I felt like i was going through a novel. I think theres a good idea here for the right person, but i'm definitely not the target audience.
Loved this game! Excellent writing and art direction!
This is a fun little game! I love the artwork, and the UI being scrolls is a nice touch. The font is a little small in my opinion however. The dialogue is great, but I wish it was made clearer which options were the best to pick after it ended.
Great game and holy crap that npc is overqualified, Cheese merchant, black market dealer, retired soldier, loving widower. I can hardly manage two projects a week.
I really enjoyed the twist on being an NPC and the artwork is lovely!
The plot is interesting, and the experience of being an NPC handing out quests is very novel, but maybe the game would be a little more playable if I could jump out of my regular NPC routine for a little bit of counter-intuitive NPC action every now and then.
It feels like a visual novel and I love that. I love that I can give no rewards to the heroes and just rip them off and let them do my job XD
This is really well done. The writing is very entertaining, and I like how there are enough different conversations to add some replayability (I played twice, and there was only one repeat between the two playthroughs). I did find the slow speed of the text, and having to click the "Continue" button to skip it, a bit annoying---I might have preferred if the text either scrolled faster or appeared instantly. But overall I had a lot of fun with this!
Great writing, really awesome art style and nice music.
Good job making this in only 48 hours!

I wasn't sure if my selections were good or bad ones. It would have been helpful getting some feedback after each one.
Overall though I loved the game! I just wish I could have figured out what I did wrong...
Cool game, love the style and Adventure Quest style vibe. Also the amount of writing is impressive and often humorous. Nice submission!
Very nice game, the writing is great. It would have been neat if the NPCs returned with the results of the quest, or if there was some more feedback on your choices. Seemed mostly like a dialogue heavy game, so a few more mechanics could really enhance the experience. Great aesthetic too!
Made me nostalgic for a type of game I never actually played! Would definitely be nice to get some more feedback on the choices, it wasn't clear if there was any benefit to being rude or nice to me.
