Amazing presentation - very well polished! However, I don't think the randomness helps the game. I think it would be more interesting if there was a fixed order of tiles for each level that players could plan around. Also, the enemies were generally more annoying than interesting. Still, the game was very fun to play!
Like some others have said, incredible polish. All of you have well-deserved praise in that regard. I wish there was more to say about how good the polish is so it doesn't feel like I'm focusing too much on this next bit.
Didn't really feel the theme here, and I didn't feel like I needed to make any decisions to complete the levels. Running around to touch every tile and grabbing the bell seems valid enough without having to switch things up.
But all in all, very well done here.
Congrats on finishing your game! I was looking forward to seeing what your team came up with this time around.
As always, the level of presentation polish is outstanding. The game looks fantastic, sounds amazing, and is overall a very charming package. The food theme is delightful, too.
The gameplay missed the mark for me unfortunately. I didn't quite understand the loop - i thought you had to "jump" to activate the 6 tiles, but sometimes it just activated on its own? Sometimes it didn't? I also felt like some of the random rolls made some of the puzzles quite frustrating. Early on, I got bouncy tiles, but I needed to go down, so trying to navigate my downward bounce to a lower platform was a weird experience. With a bit more testing a level design polish, I'm sure this would be a great little puzzle platformer. If you remove the adherence to the theme, making the platform type change be set based on the level would be very enjoyable.
Still, y'all make some impression stuff. Keep it up. Keep showing us what a well-made team can do and keep making cool games!
Sorry you didn't enjoy it too much, the feedback is appreciated.
Stepping off of any 'flipped' tile causes them to activate, I just wrote 'jump' in the tutorial because it was difficult to come up with a way to describe that which wasn't too wordy otherwise, will definitely be working on making any in-game explanations clearer and more in-depth in the future.
I think if I were to explore a similar mechanic again, I would remove the random element, though I do think them being randomized provides a very different type of challenge.
Ahhh, "stepping off" isn't a really intuitive platformer mechanic, so no wonder it went over my head! Yeah, that sounds like a tough design problem, especially in just 48 hours.
Yeah, the random is a super different challenge.
Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it :)
Game made in 48 hours, could as well be a full title. Kudos
Damn son this is really impressive, well one issue i have, is that the bounce tile can be very annoying sometimes, like when you try to get off an ledge, that's right belowe it, it's not impossible, but just unnecesarly hard
This is AMAZING <3 Congratulations!
sometimes I couldn’t go down for the jumpers
Please give my game a try if you have some time!
Incredible concept, incredible gameplay... all around a very impressive game with astounding levels of polish!
Most polished game I've seen so far! I enjoy this game, Impressive game in such a short time. Great job!
Feel free to check my game if you want to challange your brain muscle!
Holy damn the art is amazing... The idea is also unique and the gameplay was generally fun. good job.
That was awesome! love the art, the idea, controls... That was very close to perfect for me :)
Wonderful submission!!!
The art and sound is impecable! Really a team of professionals! Congrats!
Once again you never fail to impress, Amazing game!
Great job! Definitely meets the high level of polish and impressiveness you'd expect for a Team Bugulon game. Sometimes, it does kind of feel like the random nature of the tiles can make the difficulty swing around a lot, even with being able to see the next tile transformation. Also, being able to drop through the regular platforms would be nice to have for some of the level layouts.
Cute game and well polished ! And so many content for a game made in 2 days
Love everything about this game! Its so impressive that this can be done in 2 days:)
Great Job!
This art is really cute!!
good game. it was unfortunately buggy for me.
How so? I've yet to see any significant bugs in the game or reported by other players. Maybe it's your browser?
when completing levels the game freezes and the webpage stops responding. it happened multiple times. reloading the page worked but it made the game not worth having to reload the page over and over.
That sounds like an issue with your internet connection or browser. When the game switches stages it has to grab the file for the next level from the itch servers, so maybe your connection is being cut or some security setting is kicking in and preventing communication with the server? If you try with a different browser or try using the windows build it should work fine. Sorry about that, it's the first time I've heard of someone having that issue with this implementation of stage loading.
What a beautiful game! I enjoyed planning on which tiles to flip so that I can still finish the level. Good job guys!
