This is my favorite take on the "Your powers are determined by the dice" spin on the game jam! Incredibly well done!

The art/music/sound/animations work all comes together brilliantly, the core game loop was very enjoyable. My favorite touch of detail is the sound indicating I am "out of ammo", which never particularly felt frustrating. Very much reminds me of "Enter the Gungeon" in that way. Second favorite -- when I wielded a sword the ranged enemies started to run away. Exceptionally cute.

My critique is I wish it was more difficult, with a few more bosses. I think one spawned, but I killed it very easily (large mad hatter?).

Solid, excellent, addition to the jam!

I have played Enter the Gungeon so I took some inspiration when programming parts of the game.

Regarding the magic hats, they are not bosses really, they just sit around and spawn other types of enemies. The balancing was done during the last hour or so, and maybe the hats turned out too easy indeed.

Thanks for playing!

Looks amazing. It was a little rough around the edges, but the art and general style were enough to make up for it.

A few tweaks to the UX and this could be amazing!

The artwork and overall presentation were really great. It was a bit slow for my tastes, but the weapons were all fun and interesting. Nice work!

I think dragging the abilities into a dice and then letting them roll randomly is very creative. I also appreciate the preview of the red dice when it wants to shoot. But I think the gameplay is a bit too slow, it all feels very sluggish. Other than that, i think you did a great job with this submission.

The main character was so cute! I loved the art, and all of the upgrades were fun and unique. Good job!

Gameplay is engaging and fun, I wonder if there is a boss in the last wave, cause it would be super cool! Astounding art and music! And all of the amazing assets (appreciation for the HP and MP bar animations) are made in 48 hours. Great entry!

Really cute and well designed game.

I can't believe a progression system was implemented in 48 hours, awesome work.

Only downside is some powers, like the fist are quite weak, of course I shouldn't expect a perfectly balanced system but that's the only negative thing I have to say about this, everything else is great.

Really solid game! Great use of the theme in game mechanics and graphics. Only minor criticism that I have is that sometimes it was hard to tell what damaged me. Hitting the enemies didn't seem to reduce my hearts at all, but next thing you know you've accidentally nuked yourself.

Sometime's simple is best!

Great execution really brings out the gameplay. It took some time to learn what things are suppose to do and the attacks can be vague on first try but that's part of the discovery in the gameplay!

Attacks can sometimes feel off as it's a bit difficult to tell whether they land or not, or the fact that I took damage when I felt like I shouldn't. The melee combat feels wonky in a few ways so I usually resorted to ranged.

Melee combat also doesn't seem to do enough damage to justify the risks of going up-close (especially when enemies can shoot!)

Great fun though! So full of charm!

Definitely a very charming take on the dice theme, especially the art style and the handling of weapons.  Fits the randomly while not feeling too annoying with the weapons you're switching between.  Well, until you explode yourself like me, constantly.  But that's me.

One thing I will say is that more aof a visual queue on changing weapons would be nice.  Similar to how the sword and gauntlet work.  The shotgun and, grenade (?) having something different would help.  Possibly.  Though that's just me it wasn't too much of a problem.

It was also a nice touch to have the power ups visually take over a side of the dice which connects the character to the powerups quite well.

Awesome visual and audio, the game feels polished and fun to play. Amazing work.

Superb artwork, I love the cute hat the dice has and the animations are so good! A heck lot of fun to play as well. Has the right blend of luck and strats.ヽ(o^▽^o)ノ

Solid game, great artwork and controls. the game kind of just encourages you to keep rolling until you get the power up that you want, but i generally love duel purpose mechanics and trade off mechanics.

Amazing presentation and polish. A fun top down shooter with great enemy and skill design. I liked how you reused dice rolling for multiple things. I'd suggest a tooltip explaining that dashing reloads. It was a bit unintuitive.

Fun gameplay loop! I love being able to pick my own attacks. The default attack felt underpowered against the orange ranged enemies, I got overwhelmed a lot and the dash was a bit slow responsive. Overall good game with nice assets and fun gameplay.

Really cool animations and sounds!! I did enjoy playing the game, but the controls could use a little work .. I found that the dodge would not always be responsive while moving diagonally. The enemy design was awesome, I wish they would eventually find their way around obstacles though haha. A few glitches here and there, but pretty well put together. Great effort!

Hey ! Looks like we kinda had the same idea, but I liked your execution better. :D

Well done! My only issue was with the WASD not playing well with an Azerty keyboard.

Developer

I always forget to just add that option, sorry D:

Maybe I will manage to remember in the future!
