lol this fits the theme. I liked the music. it made me want to play just to listen to it.

This is a nice arcade-like shooter, although I found it a bit difficult :) I really like the concept of the fish group and ejecting one as a bullet, and the game is really polished for 48 hours, great job :D

This game feels super cohesive and polished especially for a jam game. It has a unique gameplay, and I thought it was a lot of fun. I had some trouble aiming my fish and I was never sure when it was worth it to shoot and lose health as opposed to running, but that might just be because I wasn't very good at the game. I'd be interested to see how this game felt if shooting had a less steep penalty so I was less scared to do it, but I really enjoyed playing it. Great work!

a very cute game. only thing i think you would add is maybe have the school of fish swim as a group as they follow the player. again, very cute and fun game

This is a really fun twist on the endless runner type of game. Normally you just jump or move from side to side, here, the lack of direct control adds a great challenge. It's a horrible(in a good way) feeling when you just lose most of your school to a wall that you couldn't dodge in time. I really enjoyed it, I think this would make a great mobile game if you evened out some of the issues caused by the 48 hour time limit.

Developer

thanks I definitely plan on working on a mobile version of the game, thanks for playing!

Great work. It's trickier than you think because those fish have a death wish for the walls LOL.

I dont know how fast the fish does swim but it must be pretty fash as it will disintegrate to little fish fillets when hitting the fall.. :D

I love the idea but could not get very far, the controls felt very slow/laggy, maybe it was just my pc, the fish were a lot faster in the main menu, than in the actual game.

3492... I've had so much fun playing this!
I sufferred a lot, it is not that easy to control the school. And that silly fish... I get's hit by anything. Ridiculously enjoyable. And also shooting fish like a projectile is just completely satisfying.

To sum up, it's one of my favorites at the moment :D

Love the idea. very nice visuals.

The movement of the fish feels very natual & looks very good are maybe a bit slow to avoid some obstacles. The difficulty need a bit of balancing to be make it fully enjoyable.

All in all  this is great work for jam game. :)

Awesome job making this in 48 hours! Super fun! Love the replay-ability of it! Really good fun also thanks for the tip on the 2 hits for the sharks! :D

Very impressive for a 48 hours game jam. I love the visuals and the animations. It is so satisfying to fire fishes at sharks!

Other than the fish school feeling a little slippery and the left click feeling a tad(pole) redundant, the game worked extremely well and I found it an enjoyable little timewaster.. Grabbing new fish was a little more difficult than it needed to be, so maybe tighten that up if you choose to develop it further.

Nice use of boids, good idea to use it for a game. Doesn't fit the theme very well in my opinion. We need lore for the black areas of death!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

"Black Areas of Death", those are the souls of all the fish that have died , so technically when you run your fish into the wall their soul is being joined into the void....

lol, I don't really know I did not have time to polish that, I was going to add sea-weed, coral, and crabs walking around, but I had no time, the whole void idea seems very intresting tho,  as for the theme all the fish are joined together (in a school), and all the other fish join your school.

This game is actually a complete mini-game. I got 3258 and really like the physics. Hardness is also well-controlled. Great work!

NIce Game And Nice concept! I would have appreciated though if you increased the friction.

Such an awesome merger of many cool ideas! What a game! I love how your "health" is just how many fish you have, like your health is also your ammo is also your hurtbox, so cool. I also loved the music and the momentum of clicking and watching them all shoot around. I really hope you continue to develop this game and I have some suggestions. 1) please make the tutorial skippable. this game is really addicting and even on my 3rd or 4th playthrough i was already like why do i have to sit through these 10sec of windup at the beginning of each run? 2) maybe make a starter level that moves a bit slower? i never got that far and only hit something with a bullet fish successfully one time. (i played maybe 12 runs). Awesome game!

Developer

wow, thanks for playing and the feedback, due to lack of testing toward the end of the jam, I had to fix a few bugs and could not properly balance the game, so its' difficulty curve becomes really difficult. your suggestion to split the level levels great.

Super hectic and crazy-fun game! I loved the artstyle and the music. The controls feel really good and the sharks are   s c a r y (which is a good thing I think).

Great job and good luck!!

Pleasing, soothing but at the same time challenging game. The movement of the fish should follow the mouse instead of being directed to a spot (that will help with the game flow I think). Very cute art and neat mechanics, I think you can expand upon this easily by adding more helpers (a durable herring for example) . Other than that the game was clear and easy to play, thanks for that!

Developer

thank you for the feedback.
