I loved everything about it, but it's very hard.
The red balls killed me all the time and I was pretty angry.
Then I read the description, and then I did die to the red balls knowingly, that it is my fault. xd
Did not managed to survive it once. :|

I like the idea, but I had really low FPS, could not get further than the second level because of it.
I noticed this with other unreal games too.

I played and rated everyone's game who (I know that) played mine, but I don't want to judge your game based on this laggy experience, so I skip this one. :)

Nice game, loved it.

If you plan on continuing it, I would say that the camera angle is a bit strange, and the boss can be killed without much thought using the shield, but it's perfect game for a jam . :)

Love the idea, I don't get hit on by creepy strangers, but the anxiety of loosing your friends in big party/festival is relatable.

I think you did a great job with the presentation, it is really simple, but creates the right atmosphere.
My only problem is that the angle sometimes made it harder to notice free tiles between people.

The puzzles were nice too. :)

Thank you,  and I will expand on it! :)

It's a bit unintuitive, the towers are not just redirecting the beam as is.
They gain a small charge from it, which than they use to fire.
If you create a loop by directing back the beam to a previous tower, it will gain twice as much energy as it is using to fire.

It would make more sense, if there were multiple power sources. :)

Thank you! :D
Glad you liked the idea, it needs a lot of works to play as a proper game, but am glad you see the potential. :)

Thank you!
Maybe possible someday! :)

Thank you! :)

This is very nice idea, and I love everything about it, except that the jumping was very intuitive.
Is it related to how many contact points I currently have or something? Cause it felt very random, made me quit at the levels with the rotating platforms, sometimes I jumped over a whole platform and landed on the next, other times I could not make a jump only a bit wider than my character.

Anyway, this is really cool, great base for a game.

That's a 5 in presentation. :D

Enjoyed the game, but the controls legit made me dizzy to the end.

Love the name, and the silliness of the whole project.
The soundtrack fits really well.

It was fun, even though I could not complete even one lap.
The controls need some work. :)

Loved the animations, particles.
I was a bit worried first, it's another one of those games with mirrored movement that I keep running in to, but it was a nice surprise.

I loved the gameplay too, it was not too puzzling, but it's great that you could create this many levels, that feel very different.

I love the idea but could not get very far, the controls felt very slow/laggy, maybe it was just my pc, the fish were a lot faster in the main menu, than in the actual game.

I tried to complete it, but I have no idea what to do next.
I did collapsed the house in the beginning, then pulled the lever on the left with the guy, and am totally lost after that.
Tried to run around with Satan for a few minutes, but only found the blue, for which I need the guy I guess.

Thank you! :D
I wanted to make sure, that the player got the basics before playing the real game.
It seems it worked. :)

Thank you! Am glad you liked it! :D

I did not have much time for level design, the 4th level is basically just the final state of my test scene... xd

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! :D
I will make a more polished demo some day, I had a few more ideas for this jam too,  just did not have time for it. :)

I wanted to have a map with 2 laser source, but did not have time for it.
In the long run, I will definitely will take a look at splitting the beam, and coming up with enemies that fit the concept.

For example, I want to try out enemies, that have shield on the front, so you can only attack from the other side, forcing you to dace around them with the beam.

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Thanks! :D
I have thought about that, I will see what comes out of it.

Hmm, I see. That's sound cool, I thought I can have only one tank on me at a time, so I did not even tried to have more. :D
I have seen a game with a similar idea with weapons, and it was a lot of fun, so that could work.

In that case, I would adjust the tanks position from a fix distance from your character, so they would make a ring around.
And maybe you could use them as shields too. :D

I was very confused in the first minute, than I figured out than I can move, not just rotate.
Then I tried to join the 2 islands and move to the next one.
That did not worked, so I tried it again a bit differently.
After 5 to six attempts, I got the next level. Passed a few levels, and I am even more confused now... xd

Loved the art style, and I love (what I think is) the idea, but you should write some basic tutorial next time. :)

Nice game, feels polished.
It's not really for me though, my brain hurts just from the 3 level. xddd

It's kinda cool.
I don't think it is possible to play it with any real skill, but it was strangely satisfying for a while. xd

Feels very polished, cool idea, nice execution.
My only complaint is that i did not really had time to figure out each combination, and my original setup  obliterated everything, so I did not wanted to change it up too much.
A few word description about the combo effects would have saved me. :D

Nice little game.

My only 2 complaints is that the tank are not set to your position and rotation when "pick them up", and that I have to wait for the next wave wave after I pick up the only remaining tank.

But that is totally okay for a game jam game, nice work! :)

Glad you liked it! :D
The balance is definitely non-existent in this game, but am glad people see the potential. :)

You have to "join together" your towers by the energy beam.
What do you think? Is this a stretch? :D

Loved it.
I was a bit confused first, cause I thought i have to get back to the end of the spear to pick it up, I saw the Q is reset, but I thought it means restart. xD

There were a few parts where I kind of ignored the level design.
I think you should create walls that will bounce your spear back, so you have more control over the player while designing the levels.

Also some visual feedback about your charge percent would be nice.

Overall it's a bit buggy, but very skillful, I struggled with it for a while, but really enjoyed  the challenge. :D

I guess it turned out to be pretty good then. :p

Thank you! :D

I will give it a shot when I have time. :)

Thanks for the feedback! :D

Yeah, originally it was more focused on charging the turrets, and I made the base stronger and charge faster than the other turrets cause it seemed like a good idea. xd

I will find something out to encourage players bouncing the laser, maybe enemies that have a shield on the front blocking damage. :d

Thank you! :d

I didn't have time to make a proper game out of it, but am glad you can see the potential. :)

Looks beautiful and has a good core idea, feels polished.

It was a bit strange, that enemies did not recover after loading the checkpoint, I basically killed the boss by shooting it once, then dying. xd

Very cool idea, flawed execution.
Could not kill any of the peasants,  maybe it's a bug, had finished on my 4th try by basically speed running the collection part before the peasants got in the tower.

Loved everything about the art.

Would love to play a fleshed out version. :)

Thank you! :D
We'll see. :)

Thank you, am really glad you liked it! :D

I had a few ideas that would have been cool, like a tower that would explode when it reaches max energy, so you would have an AOE tower, but could only trigger it with the beam, another one was a tower that could split the beam into 2 direction.

I am planning to continue developing it, maybe do some devlogs on my Youtube. :D

Killing the first 20 fishes was a chore, then I got the new power and got really excited and then got bored while killing the spinies, than got very excited again, then I died to a few hits from the bats.

What an emotional roller coaster. xD

The art is very polished, feels good to attack and all that, loved to see the end, but there is no way I will smash p another 200 times to kill the damn fishes. :D

Very polished, simple, fun.

(1 edit)

This was the most fun I had with a game during this jam so far.
The controls are very wonky, mostly the Lerpy aiming, but the core concept is great.
This could be the next Hotline Maiami, just better! :D

I would disable switching to empty slots, cause I was VERY confused on why is my character looking sideways... xd

Other than the controls being frustrating and and the AI being brain dead, this is the best thing ever! :D
You should polish this up.

Maybe it's just my PC, but the camera lagged really badly, and the GUI got screwed up on my 21:9 monitor.
Other than that, I loved the art style and loved how the camera zooms in on the players, it is a good metaphor. :)
