a very clever game, i didn't like puzzles so much, but this one is very interesting

One of the best games I've played during the jam. The design and visuals are mind-blown.gif

Developer

Haha thanks so much!

So glad I found this entry

Fantastic Idea and  very clever level design, loved it!
Really, one of the best I played, I finished it with a taste for more :)

Good job, and hope more people will see this little game .

Developer

I really appreciate that, thank you! I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm hoping to expand on it at some point!

Submitted

Just a fantastic concept executed with some great puzzles! Would love to see this expanded on into a longer feature game.

Developer

Thanks so much Ben! I'd like to expand on the concept! Maybe add a few more puzzle elements and more detailed visuals.

Nice idea, but pretty difficult puzzles. I was struggling with the one pictured in your screenshots, but I solved it. Only to realize now that you were giving away the solution in the screenshots. I made it to the level with the controls in the square in the middle of the level.

Being able to restart with R would be nice as well as reverting (undoing) with Z. Some indication of which portals are connected to which would also be useful. I'm not sure if they were bugged in the last level I played or that they were intended to work the way they did. It was just contradicting how they worked in the levels before it.

Developer

You’re right, the portals in the last level would not all return you to the portal you came from. I wasn’t sure if that was fair or not, but I thought I’d try it out. The concept probably  could have used an introduction level haha. Anyway, thanks for playing!

I loved the game. One clear idea with interesting puzzles and great minimalist visuals. Really great. It looks and feels so nice.

Developer

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

loved the appearance and the idea!

i wish there was a restart button (or if there was one i didnt see it) whenever i messed up on a puzzle ;3;

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah delete key restarts the level. It really could have used an Undo button too but i was running out of steam by the time I realized that haha. Thanks for playing!

A very very good simple puzzle game! An awesome monochrome aesthetic! Those puzzles were difficult but so satisfying to solve! The placement of the pressure plates made me realize which keys were eligible to be sacrificed, so I had to build a mental path using only the directions I'd have left! Let met tell you when I first solved the puzzle with one pressure plate weight downed by the Up key (one of your screenshots) I was doing a little tiny celebration (soft little pounds on my desk and a "f yeah I got it")

This was so good. Great job!

Oh, I remember one issue I had!

The resolution is too big, and it doesn't look like I can resize the window. I had to move my taskbar to see the whole screen, playing on a 1820x1080p monitor.

Developer

Haha that’s awesome to hear, that’s probably my favorite level too! Thank you!

I actually finished it! Nice to finish a puzzle game for once ;-)

I love how well this meshes with the theme. I like the look of the key caps and love how the duplicate ones already placed on the board get pressed when you use that direction. I like the night theme and the greyscale palette – I think the music goes well with it. Overall, feels very unique.

The puzzles are pretty challenging, and usually you can’t just mash your way through them. You can waggle around and make a little progress, but usually you do some thinking to solve them. Also does a great job slowly revealing the puzzle elements (keys, dupes, teleporters) to ensure you understand them before you have trouble working with them. But it does this tutorialization without getting boring.

Great work.

Thanks for the great review! You’re totally right, I tried to introduce mechanics gradually so I didn’t need to write two paragraphs of instructions on the opening screen lol. Thanks for playing!

Loved it, this game really reveals habits since the solution usually comes about when I decide to just lose some other key first and do something different.

Developer

Awesome, glad you liked it!

This game makes me go YES!

Haha awesome, thanks for playing!

Just brilliant in every way, LOVED playing this! Only issue I had was the resolution, the verticality of the game made the bottom of it get cropped out on my 16:9 monitor, but it was still very much playable! First perfect score I've handed out, well done!

Developer

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

This game is great! The movement, art and music are all just perfect and compliment each other so well. The SFX creates amazing feedback and increases the immersion. The idea is so clever, yet so simple as to understand. Every level was challenging and enjoyable. I had a blast playing through it!

Thanks so much! I realized recently how much the right sounds can add to the impact of a simple game like this. Glad you enjoyed it!

Nicely put together. Definitely liked the level  where you get the extra up key, it was real satisfying once I figured it out! Great polish too, only thing I'd change is the reset animation, it's a bit on the long side.

Developer

I appreciate that, thank you! And yeah that’s probably my favorite level too

This is a phenominal take on the prompt. Very satisfying once you figure out the best way to solve the puzzles. Great job!

Developer

Thanks Dev, much appreciated!

Good game with some nice puzzles. However, the art is a bit uninspired, and it can get very hard.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah there’s definitely a difficulty spike halfway through, it could have used more hints or intermediate levels haha
