ooO a fun twist on a tower defense. Mechanically wanting to buy more enemies is an interesting take. I adoreee the piñatas design’s too!! All of the art is so colourful and pretty.

I have to echo someone else’s comment that the game is a slow starter, but it’s definetly a game I’d wanna come back to. The casual vibes are always fun when you’ve got something pretty to look at and listen to.

There’s an insane amount of polish in this game for a jam!

Loveeee love love this concept!! The gameplay loop is solid and it’s soooo cute. The art the music AHHHH. Big fan of the use of the theme heehee.

Only criticism I could give is that the flower’s sound effect scared the hell out of me, it could’ve definitely been a lil quieter ^^; Introducing the addition of enemies earlier might have made it more appealing to try again. As it takes a while to get there with fairly little difficulty. tho i did very much enjoy the pace of the game.

as far as anything else goes this is a very good game!

Thank you! ^^ Initially the marathon-like structure was a more visible mechanic. I usually wouldn’t do a death = start over game but we were hoping the shorter puzzles and ease of re completing them would make going back through ’em more a momentum builder than a killer. In hindsight I do wish we gave a way to show how much further a player had to go till the end to show how close they got.

Fantastic use of a mechanic for a puzzle game!! Getting to the height mechanic was so exciting I wasn’t prepared for it to be expanded on. Had so much fun with these puzzles.

Phenominal game. The idea is so fun and *the juice!* Its so good

Thanks! Yeah there are a ton of bugs I didn't get round to fixing, so can't actually get to far into it ha.

Awesome gameplay! The graphics look super good, the environment looks great and the music really sells the atmosphere.

Glad you liked the concept, yeah the game is riddled with bugs due since I didn't spend enough time ironing them out, hope to fix em up post-jam. Can't get to far without getting softlocked..
Thanks for playing anyhow ha!

Use of the theme was interesting, having your past playthroughs play along side you to complete a puzzle was alot of fun and felt good. Graphics also look really nice! And the music and sfx work really nicely together.

Really neat concept! The mechanic was fun to play with, more levels to use the mechanics in would be nice, but overall really good game!

Fun game! Really cool

Huh Weird. I tried to myself and it works for Edge, sorry I'm not really sure then.
Thanks for trying to check it out anyway ha

Like the idea

Good use of the theme! A rooster must complete their daily responsibilities of raising the sun. The graphics look good! Have a small issue with the gravity tho, you fall way to fast, makes it precision a little hard. And you also got a bug where you can just jump over the stage ha.

Fun gameplay loop! Micromanaging your health, the water and upgrading the cannon was really good. And the music was super catchy all the way through! Really like the graphics too. Wish there were some SFX tho, especially in the jellyfish attack sections.

Also, great end lol

Really nice concept! Switching between sleeping and working is good idea, ontop of that payment mechanic, its all really ties together nicely. Also really like that day/night transition!

Nice strategy elements, having to work around the time left between day and night really forces you to think long term. I also really liked the music change between night and day! Really highlights the difference. Only real negative is that being able to lose turns by doing nothing (say trying to walk into a tree) is a little frustrating to begin with

How the turn tables... Fish eating Fishermen.

Enjoyed the quick text adventure!

Thank you ha!

Glad you liked em!

Glad you like the mechanic heh!

Yeah the parallax background were really a last minute~ addition to make the game a little more interesting to stare at. Tho I never ironed out those bugs.. And defo feel that last one, a better jump is something Ill have to work on if I pick up the game again. Thanks!

Thanks!

Took me a minute to figure out what I was doing, but a really solid gameplay idea. Adding more than just the lizard to a list of things to do could totally immerse me in a game like this! Solid idea. I especially love the graphics!

O is it just straight up not loading...? Thats weird.
What browser are you currently using?

Love that visual style. The time mechanic was really cool, a more fleshed out version would be interesting to see how it can be used for level design.

Class Tower Defence, Love it. The graphics look really good, and the transition from night to day is super satisfying! Incredible for the time you had ha. However, it can be a little frustrating when a tower misses an enemy, especially when that enemy is nearing the end.

Nice idea if you end up finishing it up.  Will say, the car drives quite nicely!

Congrats on submitting regardless

Cool concept, switching between 2 enemies to avoid would've been alot more interesting it each did something slightly different. The player movement also would have been much more satisfying to use if you didn't come to a full stop.  The leaf's look nice tho! And the music was good, tho a little loud ha.

That was a good experience :D
Loved the show, super relaxing.

Honestly lol! What can I say, walking around a planet is fun.

Yeah the characters movement was really shoddy, ill defo have to work on that if I pick it back up. Thanks!

Nice concept! Dragging the moons shadow around to stop the fire was surprisingly fun ha, tho it was a little finicky where it feels like it doesn't have the same effect on different heat spots all the time. There was also a bug where you can throw the moon into a corner and then you kinda just gotta... wait lol.

The music is proper nice too, and that death animation is super juicy. I love it!

For a first game jam, id say this is a massive success ha! Especially for one that's < 24 Hours as your first.

This is a really fascinating concept, changing your movement options dependent on whether your in night or day. However, the way you have it set up right now is incredibly frustrating. I'm not sure how you would go about improving the concept, but maybe changing it from a on/off situation to a gradual one could work out. So the closer it gets to night, the weaker your left/right movement is, and the stronger your jump power, vice versa.

Like the slime's design tho! Very cute.

Simple yet addictive gameplay loop! Micromanaging your temperature while dealing with the alien is incredibly fun. The graphics were really and yet made good use of the palate, awesome game!

Titles a mood..

Love the graphical style! Its animated really well and the colours really set the tone. The gameplays simple yet the planet walking effect is really satisfying to watch! The music is also really nice, tho a little loud near the end. Really cool game.

Glad you liked it! Yeah, really needed to add a better indication to use the eclipse to progress, seems more obscure in hindsight lol.

Really like that final idea. o.o Never saw it that way before, but can totally see this being alot more fun having a bunch of people running around tryna dodge the sun ha!

Really nicely designed puzzles all the way through, had a ton of fun with em. Also really liked that you added an undo button, made the whole process alot more laid back ha. The artstyle is also really nice, simple yet cute. Wish there was some music in the back, but awesome game!

The atmosphere you created is really sweet. Everything looks great and sounds really relaxing! A really neat use of the theme.

Great concept! Love the humour sprinkled throughout as you're playing ha, really adds to it. Also love the simple artstyle, it pops out so well and looks incredible! The day/night transitions are really well done and also fun to watch. Fantastic game

I really like the chosen colour pallet to represent the differences. And cool mechanic, but I feel being able to toggle between night and day at no cost renders it a little pointless, adding a cooldown or something similar to encourage not spamming would be a good idea.

Also,  that last part was so unfair lol

Really enjoyed the puzzles! A lot of fun to go through, they were all well designed. Nice mechanic too. The characters felt really good to move around with on the platforming segments, but more subtle movements like landing on a button were a bit challenging.,
