Great work for your first game. The day/night mechanic you have is quite interesting. I felt having it tied to a button was a little inconvenient.  As a suggestion instead of the button use the position of the mouse cursor could to reveal the hidden elements.

Good work for a first game.

Also check out my game

Something weird happened. When I quit to the main menu and came back to the level, the character's eyes are gone. Not sure what really caused this.

Also the last part is literally imposible to beat.

Nice idea!  I like how it plays with your perception.

Nice platforming concept! That little gap between the two needles at the end was hardcore, I couldn't quite make it :) You did great for the time, but I agree with Fatigued fox and Polanski about some changes you could try and make if you develop this further.

I really like the chosen colour pallet to represent the differences. And cool mechanic, but I feel being able to toggle between night and day at no cost renders it a little pointless, adding a cooldown or something similar to encourage not spamming would be a good idea.

Also,  that last part was so unfair lol

Thank you for playing and comments👍

I agree in what you said, if there are no cost in toggling between night and day, player use it many times. . . I introduce a system what annoys a player when toggling.

The concept is interesting, however I've found some negative points that should be addressed if you want to keep working on this game:

  • The character feels too floaty, just by adjusting the gravity of the character to be higher  ⏫
  • Switching between day and night to see obstacles is a cool idea, but making it be an action with no cooldown can feel more like a little inconvenience instead of a challenge. Maybe making it automatically switch every few seconds would make it more interesting, as you have to be more aware of what you can't see 🧐
  • Due to the time limitations I guess you have not been able to add tweens to the changes between day and night, but be sure to use tweens if you keep working at it, it will make the game feel better and more professional! 🤩

Thank you!

All of your suggestions will make my game more interesting! As you have mentioned, I didn't have enough time to improve this game (because of my first challenge developing a game in such a few seconds.). So I want to  brush up this game later by reference to your ideas!
