Solid, innovative mechanic. I wish that the aiming controls were a bit more free. I did like the different approach to the theme.

When I first saw this game I knew it will be good, and I wasn't disappointed. This game was something else. Everything about it was fantastic. The art is great, the mechanic is really creative and intuitive, the music is really chill and fits the atmosphere. It's outstanding how polished this game is with very little time. If I saw this game outside of the jam I would have probably thought It was a full commercial game. The level design is really clever; not a single level felt unfair. The tutorial is probably the best I've seen, It's easy to understand, interactive, and probably what makes this game so good.
I also loved how if the orb got somewhere impossible to reach it returns to you. A very clever thing to keep in mind so the play doesn't get stuck.
I also really loved the effects put in, the smoke particles coming out from switching directions, as well as the orb trail. Really adds to the wonderful art of this game.
I can definitely see this game turning into a full game in the future (If you plan on expanding it, please inform me!)
This game was really fun until the end, Awesome job!
Nice Game :D cool mechanic good concept to developpe one mechanic and us in the Jam ;-) thx for playing Blender man It was fun watching over your sholder while you did!
Very polished! I'm impressed! The visuals, the tutorial design are super clear and intuitive, and once the mechanic is introduced you good to go! Never seen such a mechanic in a platformer. Where you need to avoid spikes, but also get in touch with them once you set a checkpoint yourself (by throwing a checkpoint ball). For now, the levels are quite easy, but I'm sure that you could experiment and make crazy puzzles with it. Overall, a fun platformer with a twist ;)
Wow, uhh, this game is great! One of the most creative uses of the theme so far, the art is great, and the sounds and music are nice, and i only have 2 complaints. 1, when you die with the orb, it would've been nice to go back to the last place you threw it instead of the start of the level, and 2, i just wish there was more. Alot of the games this jam go for a visual polish, this one is extremely polished gameplay wise, from the character movement, to the need to hold r to reset the orb so that there are no accidents, it's all just great and fun. Amazing game!
This is really nicely polished, and the mechanic is a neat idea.
My one complaint would be that the levels didn't really develop the mechanic, so much as repeat the same thing, but to be honest, I don't see what you could have done without adding new mechanics.
Best submission I've played so far!
hey hey hey! its me from the discord call! The game was AWSOME! the art was clean, the sound was crisp and the gameplay was fun.
Id Also Really like it if u played my game :)
This is AMAZING!! Gives me real nostalgia to cut the rope. This could definitely become a full length game!
I'd really appreciate it if you took time to play my game!
Great game and interesting idea. I would like to see the transition between screens smoother. And so it would be cool if you finalized this game after the jam and added more levels, enemies and preferences.
Now, this is a realllly good game to start off!
4 things tho:
- The music does not loop.
- Sometimes when you died by the "void" you'd just not respawn and would have to lose all your progress and restart again. That felt cheap.
- The way you change screens on this level is confusing:
- Is this a win screen? I'm kind of confused.
Thanks a lot! Before the deadline I had a crash and a bunch of files corruped and some functionality got lost like the music loop. In the last level there is an indicator that you need to throw the ball onto the altar again to fix the game and win it but it so happens that the indicator has 1/4 chance of showing up after the corruption. There's also a debug respawn button if you encounter any softlocks - L
This game is amazing. I have no idea how you made it in the time limit! I don't have any flaws to point out in it. Awesome use of the theme and nice job.
